LOL. 2018 Hybrid here. 2018 was the last year. It came fully loaded that year. Absolutely love mine. Loved my RS but keept blowing the turbos so they did a buyback.

@@jaysimpson6857 I've not fact checked it, but that was what I was told when I purchased my infiniti Q50 hybrid , I've seen 3 written off in the last year so may be even less

I owned a 2008 Lexus GS 450H and it was enjoyable to feel how quick it moves and it did hit top end of 147mph. All I did was k&n filter and straight pipe some of the cats because that car has 4 of them with the mufflers, also 20 wheels that was lighter then the stock 18s

2015 Q50 AWD over here. High flow cats gave me a CEL. I think it’s a common thing even with HFC. You need a tune either way you go HFC or down pipes.

Good info and pretty spot on. I have a q50 hybrid premium with takeda intakes, HFC, and full cat back exhaust. Some people have gotten Audi R8 coil packs, and gains are questionable. As far as a tune, some have claimed that a new Zealand shop is able to tune it. Again, heresay, nothing confirmed. As far as why Infiniti didn't choose the 3.7 over the 3.5. In my opinion, I think it was VVEL. The 3.7 has has VVEL to make up for low end torque but since the electric motor already has a good amount of torque down low, it didn't make sense to add that to a hybrid especially if you have a shit ton of 3.5 motors to throw into it. Other noteworthy mentions. The 3.5 hybrids utilizes an Atkinson cycle and it has no serpentine belt. The water pump and all the accessories are driven by electric motors and not from a belt connected to the crank. To answer the last point. Infiniti did make a twin turbo hybrid that utilized the vr30 engine. It was a proof of concept that never went into production. The Q60 Black S. I would save every last penny and trade up for that if it ever materializes. 😢

it never went into production.... sorry. I was in Japan where they made hybrids u till 2018. and it was the same 3.5 hybrid.

@@lexman8678 As I said while Working for Nissan in Japan also meaning I was in touch with Impul and Nismo. No, the guy in NZ is conning you. Impul would have tuned it since 2014 if it was possible as they are the other semi-in-house tuner with full ecu code access. I know what I'm talking about and I've been shutting down idiots pretending to tune the hybrid ecu. You're solution IS Exhaust, suspension, wheels and tires, weight savings... intakes are questionable... as the intakes and manifold are designed by nismo for maximum airflow and airspeed. Get ohlins suspension, Pilot Sport or even firehawks and for all season Continental Extreme Contact. Exhaust any Titanium if you also want to save weight. Any lightweight wheels that can handle the hybrids 3900lbs wet weight. If you want to Extreme CF hood, fenders and trunk with racing seats. There's your setup. Copy paste and follow.

I have a 2014 Q50s Hybrid AWD Has 188k miles. Car runs and drives like new. Purchased back in December and I’ve had 0 issues. You can check the miles on the EV system. I’ve seen some other people with lower mileage Q50 Hybrids having more miles on their EV system Mine only has about 21k miles or so I believe it has to do with the colder climate. I live in Indiana and in the winter batteries aren’t as effective so I actually did notice lower MPGs so electric motor isn’t working as much. So I guess if you’re looking for a hybrid Q or M purchase from the northern states? Idk that’s the conclusion I’ve come to lol warmer climate makes EV battery kick in more often.

Hey I’m thinking on buying the exact model you have. It has 180k miles on it and I’m hesitant on buying it because of the reliability on google says it 3/5 so what would you say ? Have you done any maintenance other than the usual ?

@@Jhuey2689 you have to go into the menu and turn it on so it shows in the screen between the speedometer and tachometer I don’t remember how to do it but I’m sure if search a Facebook group you’ll find it

I have the end of my exhaust system cut off and replaced with just 2 pipes. Sounds great and had 0 issues.

I have an 2011 M37x and the x is their intelligent all wheel drive for the M series. It sends 100% to the rear wheels until it needs to then it sends 50 to front 50 to rear. Im not entirely sure when it kicks in when driving. The new q70 only has all time all wheel drive, Not sure why they stopped using intelligent AWD
