Having never owned the original Sonnet, I cannot speak on the changes between the V1 and the V2. What I can say though is that the V2's changes are similar to what they did with the SixtyFive, which were all quality of life updates (switching from gasket sock to lattice block).
It feels nice. This is built with the solid blocks and a polycarbonate plate which gives a stiffer, but still flexible typing experience. MX2a Oranges might be my second favorite now behind the browns as these have a lot more scratch and the springs are definitely usable stock.
