Yay! So happy you're back. Thanks for this video. The difference between the inside and outside keys is really pronounced. There's usually *some* difference (proximity to the side walls of the case and mounting points/gaskets) but here they sound flat out muted. That would bother me to no end, especially with how expensive Mode's keyboards are.

Love the review! Short insight about what you said at the last part of your vid. Instead of saying "begging" for some sponsored stuff why not look at it as trying to tell vendors or brands to trust your channel on your detailed review instead of saying "im begging for a product for you guys to send because I dont want to spend money on reviewing stuff" just my thought. But this is a very nice and detailed video for the mode tempo!

As someone who did make the change over to an HHKB layout, I think it is well worth it. I would suggest mapping it exactly like how HHKB has it, except with a second layer button as well on the left hand side in the bottom left. That said, it’s not a layout I would use for gaming. From a productivity and daily use standpoint, I’ve been loving the HHKB format.

Thank you for actually mentioning the outside vs. inside keys!! I have the same issue with my Sonnet. The keys on the outside of the board sound dead AND super hollow. It bothers me to no end. For how expensive the board is, it should damn well do better in that regard.

Minor thing but you can use the "J" and "L" keys to skip 10 secs forward or backward when watching KZfaq videos. So, you wouldn't technically need the arrow keys, but ofc thats only for KZfaq.

HHKB maps the Ctrl key to the caps lock button. That’s why you’re finding it so hard to hit ctrl with your traditional set up. This doesn’t maximize the HHKB layout.

A little bit of unconscious bias is unavoidable in an arrangement like this, yes. But I've tried my very best to not let it affect this review. You've seen the entire video, right? Otherwise, you wouldn't be making comments like this. So you've seen me be pretty critical of this board. I very easily could've left out the part about the edge vs inner keys. Or I could've made much less of a stink about the layout. Hell, I could have just left it at excellent and left out the whole unexciting thing. But I didn't leave anything out. So yeah, unbiased. Just like you said.
