What a great video. So much to learn as I have just returned to the hobby after a very, very long time away. The scenery you have created looks amazing in fact your whole layout looks amazing. Bit of a binge on your vids now I think.

Hi David. Those Bexhill West Ballast Vacuums are an excellent tool. Your modelling skills create a wonderful scene. I do like the embankment pasture.

Thanks mate. yeah I thought I'd give it a try after finding the Bexhill channel a few months ago, Works a treat. Just trying my best with the scenery techniques I know and trying to learn new skills too.

Nice update. What colour paint did you use for your track weathering?
@HorsehayRailwayModeller3 ай бұрын
Railmatch Sleeper Grime and some simple matte black airbrush paint. you can buy sleeper grime as an earosol or paint pot too.

Too be fair, ballast isn't uniform. Nice thoughts on the signal approach being darker than the rest.

@@HorsehayRailwayModeller did you say you make your own sculpamold ? Actual stuff is so expensive!
@HorsehayRailwayModeller3 ай бұрын
@@_RandomPea I did for the viaduct video as I had ran out. I believe Luke aps has a good demonstration on how to make a large batch. I still think sculptamold itself has some really good properties including really fast drying time that can't be achieved with the home made version but it worked very well in the end. For now though I'm happy with buying sculptamold doing small sections at a time but when I get round to some of the larger areas I have planned I'm sure I will re-investigate the diy method.
