We return to the Bolton Stadium. This time we are on the lookout for a blue or green Lima Western, lots of other great things to look at including some Wrenn rarities and a nice Dapol coaches gift pack. The event is organised by BP Fairs.

Happy new year Rick & family, hope you have an amazing 2024, down south we don’t have toy fairs anymore, we just have the occasional train show full of overpriced secondhand items, better off buying new, hopefully a trip to shows up north will restore faith that not all sellers are just after a huge payday, thanks for sharing.

@@wellchuffedrailways Hi Rick, I haven’t forgotten the Lima goodies I have, might let all the Zero 1 goodies go as well. I will have a good lookout for toy fairs down my neck of the woods and see what I can find, a trip up north where the people are generally happier and more friendly.

I do like the Flying Scotsman and hope to get one sometime sooooon :)!!! A lot of stuffed Animals. Corgis nice and a lot of great toys too!!! I am just into it all and watching lol!! Your Trix Mk1s will look good on your dmu . The real thing should have engines under the coaches , for at least two of the intermediate cars , you should also have a buffet and a composite . I can’t remember the actual set up of the units . They were originally 6 cars , then 5 cars when buffet removed and I think latterly 4 cars , even mixed with class 123 units. Happy New Year

Hi Rick and Pauline ,, I have found a good way to tell wether a train is plastic or metal be it diecsat or brass or zinc etc. Its done by the feeling temperature of train or whatever you need to find that if you need to know wether its metal or not. So if you hold the train on the back of your hand or under the middle of your forearm and it is cold to the touch it will be steel or metalic substance. If it is warm or at room temperature it will be plastic or non metalic. Also a good way to tell if the wheels on the trains you are buying are metal or plastic especially if they have been factory painted as there hard to tell by just looking at them. Its the same as anything from the ground or under ground is nearly always cold to touch as in rocks gravel etc and anything above the ground like trees wood plastics or manufactured plastics etc is warm or higher temperature than from under the ground. Its best to always use under your foremarm or the back of your hand quite similar to checking the temperature of a babys milk bottle as in it be warm cold or boiling hot but good way to check... Anyhoo a handy tip if you dont carry a metal detector in your pocket every where you go. Anyhoo its near 12.30am here in oz and im of to bed. Quite a big exhibition there, but didn't see any wanted bargains that appeal to me, I guess I become fussy this year😅. They're where some that I already got though, but it also depends where the camera is pointed at of corse. But it seems you expanded the Wrenn collection a bit, how many models are you still missing In the Wrenn collection?
