DISCLAIMER: I am not paid to promote any specific products or brands; I just use the products I find work best for me through my experiences. There is no reason for me to promote a bad product, as then I would not enjoy using it, not like the result on my model, and not be proud of publicizing it in a video. There's also no point in me doing this to keep up relations with a company if the only benefit would be getting more of the same products that I didn't like. I have not used every product out there, but from what I have used, I keep using the products I like, and that's why I use them in my videos. You can use whatever other products you would like to and you can feel that they are better - that is your opinion, and is perfectly fine by me, thus I hope that feeling is reciprocated.

Awesome job, I also put a little loose dirt on the rear because the tankers have it on their boots filling the fluids

Your video is always easy to understand, because you put every colors step by step. Actually, the leaked oil and fuel would became more blackish by adsorbed dust. So, we should try more and more. Thank you !!

I like the subtlety of the effect. When youre doing multiple effects I think it pays to be subtle, as they add up and its possible to over do it.

Looks great. I think some of these "engine stains" are under-represented, especially on WW2 subjects. As you say, it's not an effect that you want a lot of, but just enough to give it some life. Looking really amazing now, great work.

Cool effects I like adding abit of black smoke pigment in with my engine grim on mine just a tiny tad though like the crsp you get in your wheel arch or from.break dust oil n crap build up on the bottom of sumps on cars lol but it looks fantastic on my armour builds from making bust suspension shocks to the grease eye leaking etc! The fuel stains are cool, the red diesel effects! The water effect mixed with abit of Tamyia clear yellows good for petrol engine vehicles if you want to try play around adding dust etc with that it's something I'm trying to just get right myself just now!

Absolutely love it! Those fuel stains certainly came out looking like many layers of old and new spills, someone needs to get this Tiger crew in fighting shape! So sloppy! 😂 But like you said. You never know. And they are indeed probably more often messier than depicted. I was a turret gunner and we were driving down the one highway in Afghanistan heading to Kandahar and I had a Sprite that I had forgotten about. It had started out room temp, not cold, but room temp is not too bad when it gets real hot out there. Needless to say after hours of forgetting about it... I cracked it open, took a swig, and it was ...pretty bad and not at all refreshing. Which sounds like Sprite to me, but overseas you tend to take what you can get. I tossed it over the armored side of the turret shield into the truck bed of our MAT-V in disgust and disappoint. Along the way, it sprayed all across the roof of the vehicle. Talk about some uNrEaLisTiC weathering on a modern AFV. What's sticky and dusty with splatter marks on the roof of an armored truck?! 😂 Honestly that is what the little splash on the turret basket by the ammo/escape hatch reminds me of. Poor loader was unimpressed with his Schnapps and tossed it out the back. Looking forward to next week's instalment!!!

@@Panzermeister36 hahaha for sure! Sometimes you try to tell a story with a model and sometimes the model pulls a story out of a viewer :p but yes, lots of random personal gear on modern vehicles, some even have AC power adaptors, we had a water boiler plugged in to our MaxxPro for coffee/tea.

Great job looks amazing as always! On almost all videos i post comment and i give you some tip and constructive critisicm which i think you wont mind. Well this time i might suggest you to add some mud and dirt to the plate where the jack block stands on ground. This is the tip i picked up from Dave from IPMS TORONTO on You tube also.

I am about to order a bunch of modeling products a lot of them wilder products cause they seem to be great products the only hobby store I have near me is hobby lobby. So I am going to order some products that engine grime or grease you were using from mig do you like it better than one from wilder or do they not offer something like that. I know I am going to get some textured earth products,but what products do you recommend for real looking rust effects. Sorry for such a long comment.

Enamels once cured for a few hours will not re activate with thinners or other enamels over it. Oils on the other hand will even the next day.
@Panzermeister36
@Panzermeister36 4 жыл бұрын
I have exactly the opposite experience. I can lay oils down in layers and 6 hours later they are set on solid. But enamels will keep reactivating more than 24 hrs later, and I didn't want to wait so long for these effects. I actually filmed this whole video in about 3 hours last Friday evening and it was very satisfying to get all those effects finished so fast.
@joebringas4807

Panzermeister36 maybe brands? I use AK enamels let them sit for a day. I’m guessing super thinned oils with spirits will also cure quickly. Good stuff tho.

Wait, for wilder paints do u use enamel or oil thinner? Im getting some and i need to know
@Panzermeister36
@Panzermeister36 4 жыл бұрын
Both - oils and enamels use the same thinner. It's acrylics that use different thinner.
