Today I will show you this year's Modelling Festival at Krakow's Museum of Polish Aviation.
It's not impressive, I know. There are a few models on display, but some are worth your attention.

I visited this Museum back in 2016 and enjoyed it a lot! Great choice of soviet planes and helos on the outdoor park (esp. some Kamov KA-25). A full day is barely enough to see all there's to see there ; highly recommended place to book if you're going to Krakow! Thx for the memory 🥲

I'm glad that I brought those memories to you :) But to be honest I didn't see any Ka-25 there.

@@Big-Modeller You're welcome, mate! Regarding the Kamov, it was 7 years ago and the cell was badly damaged, unfortunately. Maybe they didn't keep it? In any case, it seems to me that she was with the soviet helicopter park, at the far end, in the left part of the enclosure.

Thank you for this video. It's a real pity that the overwhelming natural light, due to the huge windows, made detailed photography almost impossible. An inappropriate venue even for people there in person, trying to take photographs. On the positive side, I had no idea there were so many different types of aircraft flown in Poland. It would be great if more Polish modellers could display their work on, for instance, a dedicated website. If such a thing exists, I'd really like a link to such a site. I've modelled Spitfires and Hurricanes piloted by Polish pilots but I'd like to model more. The excellent new Kotare modelling company, in New Zealand, has done a Polish version of their first kit, a Spitfire in 1/32 scale, it's really worth a look. Thanks again, and all the best. I have to agree, the exhibition was not set properly. I guess the history of Polish Aviation is something completely exotic for someone living in Tasmania ;) I'm glad that my movie was an inspiration for you to get to know some more about it :) Polish modelling society is focused rather on the internet forums than on a single website, you can try modelwork.pl/ for example, or pwm.org.pl/ but you will probably have to use Google translate ;) And thanks for the info on the Kotare company :) Have a pleasant winter down there ;)

Very nice overall quality. I prefer this kind of displays. Where I'm from contest tables tend to be cluttered with older models belonging to club members to pump the numbers up. This looks better to me. You display what you built and that's it. Nice to see the 1/48 Jaskolka glider and a full-size Wrona on display. Thanks for sharing, mate. Cheers.

A shame the interior lighting wasn't stronger to overcome the natural backlighting. The quality of these models looks very good.

This hall is excellent for exhibiting real airplanes but too dark to expose such intricate details of a model.

Powiem tak - super ujołeś te kilka modeli wiec pojęcie "festiwal" jest lekkim przerostem. Wystawa o której prawie mało gdzie była informacja doprowadziła do bardzo małej frekwencji widocznej w modelach a szkoda 🥺 ostatni porządny festiwal modelarski w Krakowie był jakieś 3-4 lata temu. Tutaj jak dla mnie organizacja i promowanie poległo lub było specjalnie tak przygotowane. Pojęciem "festiwal" to można określić wystawy w Jaworznie albo Bytomiu. Szkoda że materiał video jest też z dalszej perspektywy - gdyż było kilka perełek której warto było pokazać w materiale. Pozdrawiam

Nie chciałem żeby z materiału bił pesymizm, ale gdy czytam ile modeli jest wystawionych na Babarybie a ile tutaj to mi słabo. To była inicjatywa samego muzeum związana z rocznicą jego założenia, pewnie dlatego zabrakło wsparcia stowarzyszeń modelarskich. Materiał niestety z daleka i pod słońce w ciemnej hali... tak to niestety było zorganizowane.

@@Big-Modeller w pełni się zgadzam - dlatego właśnie sam żałuję że w jakiś większy sposób nie zostało to wydarzenie rozpropagowane w różnych grupach modelarskich - nawet sam wpis na kilku grupach FB by pewnie przyniósł wymierne efekty, dam staram się rozpowszechniać informacje związane z różnymi festynami modelarskimi w okolicy. Też było mi smutno gdyż znam imprezy w Muzeum Lotnictwa całkiem z innej perspektywy.
