Algorithm suggested the "Midnight Madness" album. Was intrigued. I've now consumed 4 albums, multiple plays each, in 5 days. A surprising diamond find! I see I'm not the only one either 😁

This sounds like a dude who's recently been killed in a blaze of bullets, going through a dark hallway to hell. Blood dripping through his black suit, sliding on the walls until he finally makes it to hell. First thing that he sees when he gets there is how much culture and architecture is around, layered history with billions and billions of buildings souls have made. He discovers two things, his bleeding doesn't stop, and there's a second chance for him here. He wasted his life making those of the living world a living hell, so he decides he might as well spend eternity to make hell as close to a paradise as it can be... Problem is... there's lots of demons, lots of nightmarish cosmic horror beings that defy physics, and lots of people he wronged. He takes the first bloody steps to redemption, his wounds never becoming scars, and his gun still in his pocket.

I am a fanatic of Angelo Badalamenti and Twin Peaks. This album gives me similar vibes, and I struggled so much trying to find similar albums and music. I am beyond grateful for this youtube recommendation. :)

Interesting observation, as Moderator's 'darker' records, to me, sound like DJ Shadow, David Lynch and Akira Yamaoka collaborating on a Film Score for a movie co-Directed by Lynch and Tarantino 😄

even better than the last one! Love that retro tremolo effect on the guitar and the phat piano and sax licks. Great! This album has a great overall feel to it with mod beats and comes from a deep understanding of where it is in time and space and what has come before it. I really love the album cover art too! Memorable. Bravo!
