Welcome back everyone, this week's video is a little different: we're going back to school! I was so excited when my kids' elementary school contacted me to do this second-grade classroom makeover! The classroom definitely needed some major TLC and I was ready to bring life to it using my Cricut! I had so much fun transforming this space into a functional, fun, and colorful new classroom for the students to enjoy. With some Cricut templates, I printed out numbers, inspirational phrases, and colorful gears for decoration. These are so easy to make and will bring some life to the class as the kids walk in. My biggest tip through all this is to do everything in phases so you can take care of different sections without feeling overwhelmed by doing it all at once! I love how the classroom ended up, it feels modern and elevated! It is welcoming for the kids and the renovations make it a space they will enjoy going to every day.

If I have an image, such as Clip Art, that I want to make into an SVG cut file, I use this site to convert the PNG to an SVG. I then use the free Inkscape to open the design on my computer. If you are extra tech-savvy, you can use Inkscape to make edits and customize the design further, but it's not necessary.

What an amazing transformation! The children are really going to love this, Orly. The first day of school was always special for me when I was a girl and seeing a new classroom, space, old and new friends and teachers was even more special.

Mrs. Orly! Ive been watching your show weekly for a long time, and It’s no surprise that your talents seem to be boundless! But, its your genuine PASSION and innate creativity that’s in every single thing that you do that God has gifted you with, and that totally sets you apart from the rest. What an honor and SO cool, to have been asked to do this amazing project, and boy did you deliver! 🙌🏻👌👏🏻This will mean the WORLD to the kiddos, especially given all they’ve been through the last couple of years with Covid. I loved everything about this little transformation, but especially how beautifully inspiring a space this turned out to be! The thoughtfulness in your design will not only stand the test of time, (and daily torture lol) but also, (with the descriptive words displayed visually on the cubbies,) affirms that these lucky “Second Graders” can BE whoever and DO whatever they strive to be! Looks fabulous! A great example of how a Cricut can up your DIY. I used my Cricut to make the teachers’ names in vinyl and put them on their classroom doors a few years ago.

Turned out really fun. I bet the teacher will love this! Respectfully, I hope this channel doesn't turn into a cricut channel. Don't get me wrong, I'm ok seeing a few projects but I'm not interested in the investment of a machine. I love you and your channel for your ideas, not for a cricut tutorial.

I don't think we will have to worry about that too much. I think creating fashion and DIYing fashion hacks is her 1st love and always will be. Doing things like this is just another outlet for her wonderful and fun creativity. PS - I don't have a Cricuit (sp) either and don't want to invest in one either.
