Since March 2023, my wife and I started to renovate our first home down south of France (Cannes). It has been our dream to have a 100% self-made wood dining table. Thanks to all the channels of woodworking and DIY, especially this one, I managed to pull it off. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

The first half of the kzfaq.infoUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

Man I love your work!!! If you ever want a free laborer for a week just let me know, I'd fly out in a heartbeat just to gain some knowledge. Myself and my fiancé are currently just buying tools one at a time as we can to try to get a shop started. You're a huge inspiration!!! Thank you for all the work and content you put out!

I was wrong! I thought this was yet another video on building tables. But, it is Saturday and raining, so I watched. I didn't expect much. BUT, wow, a great idea for not going math crazy! Loved it. Thanks.

I rally appreciate how you show your tricks/tips. As someone who is just getting into woodworking, you make it look like this is something I can actually do. Plus you’re kinda weird, and I like that.

Loved this video! The ONLY change I would make would likely be to slightly round the finished table corners, for the only reason that my kids tend to run into a lot of things. All the time. Every day.

Great example of how easy you have made it to construct the angled legs. I love the templet idea, it sure is easier than how I've worked it out in the past. But then again, using your method will probably keep me from throwing the whole mess out into the middle of the road in frustration. Well done.

That was really satisfying to watch and I learned that in a pinch and with some creative problem solving skills that doing math isn’t and shouldn’t be a pain you have to deal with to be a woodworker. Thanks. Also the sanding tip with the IPA was a super nice idea as I can only imagine because oak probably takes forever to sand. The part I loved the most was your design. It was simple and humble. The 3/4” Round Over bit helped the overall look be an inviting style to enjoy using as is that perfect finish. I can only imagine what the chairs would like. I’m imagining something with a 3/4” Round Over and a dowel design as a brace like this table has. Thank you. Side note, I personally have benefited from woodworking as a way to calm myself with all of the insane political junk going on that I don’t feel the need to even mention here. Wood has helped me feel more at peace knowing that hard work and a goal oriented attitude that can help carry a passionate idea to fruition is more practical and empowering than dealing with all the stress watching news can cause. That stuff should come with warning labels. Just saying. Thanks again and I feel inspired. You did excellent and deserve props. 👍🏻

CHOP SAW!!! Thank you! Everyone else I know calls it a miter saw (at least everyone that doesn't have one or has used one on occasion). Or if you're April Wilkerson, "miter sawL" 😡 I'm 53 and it's been a chop saw my whole life. I'm a metal worker who is trying woodworking and I am using math and a print for projects, in my profession we cant just put things together and make them fit so it's habit. We normally have an exact measurement with +/-0" tolerance we have to make happen. We know it will go together not hope, and if it doesn't it's because there is a problem somewhere that has to be corrected. I am going to try just winging it on a project to see how it comes out. I am learning a lot from you and others which is awesome thanks for showing great techniques and sharing your skill in your craft.
