The example is from "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas. Also in his Workshops here on KZfaq (highly recommended). Mark was really one of the best Educators in the Trading field. Rest his Soul.

Interesting analogy! But as a rookie I had considered those before going under guidance of an active pro trader, letting him handle my investments with better experience and now I’m earning quite well off the markets while I hold my job.

Theoretically 95% of rookie traders lose, cause they lack discipline, psychology and the basic knowledge to make them profitable in the exchange markets!

Funny enough I can honestly relate. Trading is not as easy as it may seem, it takes some level of experience and discipline to ensure gains in the markets, I also made lots of mistakes as a beginner however from firsthand encounter working with one well versed in the markets I now understand the role professionalism and experience plays as regards profitable outcomes.

@@I_amjoyce0 I keep incurring losses to myself trying to make consistent ROIs trading. Silly me thought practicing on demos was similar to trading in the real markets but it’s quite the opposite and I’m learning that the hard way.

There is no way to sugar-coat losing on trades, it's devastating. Satisfactorily I’m glad I settled for having a pro aid me and the results so far has been great! Personally I work with Kevin S Mikan, an accredited FINRA trader and risk analyst. He manages my investments but allows me to be in total control of my funds, mainly placing trades on my behalf and generating me ROIs!

The big lesson from the Mark Douglas example is it takes as little as one trader to completely negate your edge. Ergo, don't bet the farm, no matter how confident you are

support always gets broken. It is knowing when that will happen. When we look at charts. We can draw trend lines and support levels and get a lot of trades right by using these. But LEARN WHAT TO LOOK FOR for the break of these structures. If you can learn when the level will break. And yes you can learn this. That's the golden egg. In the mean time just wait for the level to hold and go back the way you are thinking of trading and you can probably get in the trade for a small win. News items always throw a wrench into things. This is why we just don't trade news. Let the market absorb it and then trade the trend which results from the news. The ideal time to get in is not as the news breaks. NOPE. Let the news break. Let the market freak out. Wait for the initial profit taking to happen. and now you see the trend which has resulted from the news as you now have a new lower high or higher low which you can trade at safely. Interesting video though. correct information. To a point.

@@bjlbernal Then the question is Which one of the “What” or the “When” do you look at first and then the other? I.e. Do you look at the Fundamentals first and then see if the Technical match or the Technical First and then discover the Fundamentals behind it?

I didn't watch any videos about this till now and didn't read any books. But i know and do this from the starting of my trading journey. I have master the supply and demand with Time Analysis on my own. 1000+ hrs of observating data and reading charts of Currency pairs, World Markets, and many other data.. One day i will publish a book on this. 😊

Choose "good" stocks with fundamentals. Make your entry using technicals. That's been my method. Works decent.

Analysis works. I'm currently testing three separate systems/strategies. The first, based on one trade a day and my own mathmatical modelling gives around 100% return per year, the other two stratagies give around 400% pa. Anyone intested just let me know.

The problem is....those obvious levels of S&R are brightly visible to Banks and Institution for stop loss hunting....lol....they will also react but on opposite side....Now what ?

Price action, conditions, fundamentals, news and whales move the market. Technicals are just a reflection of people's biases. It can help, but fundamentals are what drive the market.

OP youre completely right. if someone reatains the key take aways but cant remember where it was the lessons were learned, odds are they wont have a lot to teach you about or remind you about. never mind. that makes no sense. i guess unsubing didnt make sense either.
