The thing is, cold war was almost entirely made during the pandemic and quarantine. Most of their accessibilities were restricted as all of them had to work from HOMES. Whereas, IW had 3 yrs, their full set of accessories to make MW2019. Comparing both, I think Treyarch did a nice job.

I loved mw 2019 because it uses Serverside animations. Meaning what the what the player sees on his screen is exactly how other people see it

What makes me dislike Cold War is the characters body and head doesn't even move at all not like Modern Warfare the body animation is Perfect

Modern Warfare is that one game everyone will remember when they're older.

Makes me think that what you see in 3rd person in Cold War is actually what you see in 1st person. There's not a separate model between 1P and 3P. But it looks like in MW19 there is, since the animation for the characters in 3P are so much better. Really just shows you the passion that was involved with MW and the hackjob that was Cold War.

It's the way the MW operators look at gun when they reload it, while the cold war ones just stare off into space looping an idle animation. Even a tiny detail like that adds so much

As an aggressive sniping player myself, the experience of using those high-powered scopes in MW is WAY better than CW. When you use a sniper rifle in MW to raise it and aim, the transition animation is extremely smooth and natural, so natural that you don't even realize what a great level of production it is. Until you compare it to CW, and then you realize that CW's sniper scope will just "teleport" directly to your eyes.

Fun Fact: Guns in Modern Warfare have actually working parts in the interior which are not visible from the outside. When you pull the trigger all sorts of mechanisms will work inside the gun as they would irl, which makes is extremely realistic and immersive. The momentum recieved from recoil while firing the gun is accurately calculated and is a good depiction of how firing it would feel irl. Also, the ballistics mechanism is extreme. Bullet drop not only based on bullet velocity but also caliber. A kar98 will have higher bullet velocity than the rytec(Barret 50 cal) but the Barret will drop less due to bullet design. Also, bullet velocity affects damage range. Some attachments that only state a decrease in bullet velocity will naturally decrease range because of the inner mechanics of the gun and vice versa and are not just hidden and unstated stats. Bullet inside of the barrel actually gains bullet velocity the longer it travells inside the barrel, and MW is the only game to ever accomplish that.
