Recommendation: a good movie to study cinematic composition and amazing staging is Akira Kurosawa's High and Low , he even sneaks in key plot points and spoiler details in how he arranged his scenes

This is why I love moderndayjames. He comes up with videos on topics that people don't really talk about but are super cool and I love it, it's like he's reading my mind without me know what I want. This video is exactly what I needed to reference for a project I'm working on

Seeing the name Gavilar Kholin was a real surprise o.o since I got recommended here randomly. Had to do a double take on those scenes. Also, very well articulated tips and clean presentation. I shall reference this for future projects >:D

Hey man! I suggest a grey background next time, the white one (or a black one) kinda influences how we feel the picture, grey would be a way more sterile! Consider this!

Close ups are so over used in TV shows so I don't like them. I prefer medium close.
@moderndayjames

I think because the choreography is generally pretty boring (since complex choreography is time consuming and expensive). So they keep the camera where the action is (in the face). That's why animation and action packed movies will have a bit more of those medium shots
