The Alaskan wilderness is intimidating yet inticing, magical yet mind-numbing, life-giving yet deadly. It humbles the proud, breaks the strong, and favors no man. But to the one who listens, she sings a soothing melody that makes one feel a sense of belonging, purpose, and a higher power.

Thank you Billy for using your gifts and talents to bless people. I’m quite sad that Steve passed away but you gave him such an adventure and showed him the Creator’s majesty up here in Alaska. A little glimpse of how Heaven will be. Keep up the great ministry in showing Christ to others in all you do.

You'er programs are my favorite! I've hunted/fished my whole life. Moose in BC, Elk and Deer in Colorado and Idaho, but in the wildest places, mostly River of No Return. Alaska for wonderful fishing. I admire you'er approach, purpose, execution and humble humanity. I am not a Christian, but our Spirituality is remarkably undistinguishable! As a 79 yr old Vietnam vet, I have only memories of those Wilds and they sustain me. Your programs reconnect me. Thank you

Absolutely incredible!!! I said "Wow, wow" probably 10 times as he was explaining it. Just incredible!!! Especially with allllll that weight on your back. What a place!! What a great video! One of the best hunting videos I've ever seen on YT. It gave me so much inspiration! And what a sheep Steve got. That was a really wonderful man, so kind, deep, funny and great in all ways and WOW what a shot he made! When he dedicated the sheep to his friend just after he had talked about how he had lost 60-70lbs and was on a really bad place in life. How he turned things over to be able to do this kind of hunts and to top it all get that nice trophy.. I can't deny that my eyes got a little wet there as well and in the end when I heard that Steve had passed away I cried like a little kid.. It got to be true what they say that God brings the best persons to heaven first, that God just can't wait for them anymore because just how loved they are here on Earth, the same love God feels for them so God just can't wait any longer to have them at his side in heaven. It have to be true because why is it always the kindest, most giving and loved persons who dies early? It have happened so much for me lately, the one that does ALL the right things, the one that always are kind, the one who keep giving love.. that's the persons who have died who was close to me lately and I thought the same thing now that I heard that Steve had died.. So SAD. But i'm sure he is in a better place now, probably hunting in the mountains of heaven. R.I.P Steve. So thanks for this incredible video, this was Oscars material, pure magic! You really are one of a kind hunter, adventurer, KZfaqr, friend, man, husband, father and you are truly the definition of a "Modern day mountain man". God bless you Sir❤🙏🙂

Steves comments about a higher power, then hearing that he’d passed away suddenly, I hope he had came to Jesus before he died. You’ve got to repent and know Jesus died for your sins, and resurrected to defeat death, all for us, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. It’s the Most Important thing you can ever do, get right with Jesus. YOLO is not entirely true, yolo here on this world once, but if you’re with Jesus, you’re going to live again with Him in eternity. Thanks for sharing this Billy, I know it was awhile back, but prayers are going out for Steve’s family and friends. You included. God Bless you and your family brother, may He watch over and keep y’all. The Glorious Appearance is coming soon, keep shining and sharing His Gospel. 🙏🏼 PS, the ashes Steve was scattering in the wind, that was a powerful image at the end.

Another great video Billy! Very inspirational and emotional at the same time. I grew up in Wisconsin and lived there most of my life. Moved to Georgia in 2012. I'm almost 48 years old, and I'm always worried about how much time I have left.. I made it to Argentina this spring and got my first Red Stag and Blackbuck! Alaska is on my bucket list, but with 6 kids at home, I get worried about what could happen if things went wrong up there. I'm very sorry to hear about Steve, and it's terrifying at the same time how many men are dying fairly young, and I know I'm only here as long as God allows me to be here. I want to get a moose, Caribou and a Grizzly or Brown bear at some point. I'm taking 2 of my boys fishing in Ontario next year and going after Stag again in 2026 in Patagonia. After that I think I'll go for Caribou. God bless Billy and Steve! And God bless Steve's loved ones.
