Watch the video for the wacky commentary, then you can check the static page on my website to get any details on items that you missed.

Not a Typo. I checked and they are printed correctly at the listing on the website. As you said, one is a little thicker cable than the other. But if they are both rated the same, then they should both perform the same right? That is the confusing part. A thicker cable should have a better rating, maybe 4 tons like you said. Like I have mentioned before in other videos, HF is a bit loosie goosie with their specs. I would never trust anything from HF to it's max rating. I would keep it at half the rating just to be safe. But for the DIYer either one will do.

OK, I'll give you a few choices and you pick the best one for your application. Since you are doing it for yourself and not professionally you don't need to keep a kit on hand all the time. For this reason I would first suggest that you check your local Auto Zone or Oreilleys. They will lend you a kit to use for free. Since its for occasional use this is the cheapest way to go. Next Harbor Freight has like 4 or 5 kits to pick from which are good but you need to pick the best one for you. On the other hand you should really look at Vevor. They have like 20 kits to pick from and have a longer warranty than HF and have lower prices in many cases. So that is one site that you should really take a close look at. You can find Vevor on Amazon or on their own website. I have found them to be like HF but better quality and cheaper prices many times. Hope this helps.
