Subic has many diversified industries that can maintain a major base. However, we need a lot of protection from different threats: Air, Sea and Underwater. As we can see in the Ukraine War, Subic has to be prepared against different drone attacks.

As an ordinary Filipino citizen, I would like to request our law makers in lower and upper house to enact laws to add more budget to our AFP modernization program in all branches like PAF, PA, NAVY and COAST GUARD, PNP for the purchase of high tech ammunition and armaments.

Exactly, we need to raise our defense budget, as of right now, our total military expenditures is only equivalent to 1% of our GDP. China is literally threatening our sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea for years, and yet our defense budget barely rose.

Totally agree. But I think they need to revive our local steel mill. Which should be used to make our own naval arsenals. Our ancestors need wood to be naval masters but now in this current day and age we need steel to embrace the seas. I hope our law makers see this as an opportunity to create a class of Filipinos who are adept in marine engineering! Warships coastal defense and offense a free and poised archipelagic doctrine!

To tell you the truth, as a naval architecture graduate, I think we are capable of developing our very own modern ships like Corvettes, Destroyers, and Frigates, IF AND ONLY IF were given proper funding, initiative, and training.

We Need strong defensive capability not offensive as we cant go F2F with china without allied support, the best thing is for our country to defend itself Mabuhay Ang Philippines🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 .... Rather than purchase from other country building our own defense industry will not just help create jobs to us filipinos but acquire weaponry at a more cheaper price and can be created locally even if we got isolated on whatever is coming in the future we have a way of procuring our own tools of defense on our own country.

Andun na tayo na mas madali ma deploy, pero dapat hindi pinagtatabi ang mga assets sa ngayon. Maselan pa kasi ang modernisasyon at kakaunti lang ang fleet. Kapag lusubin man tayo, wala tayong laban kasi isang sabugan lang ng air asset ng kalaban wala nang makakalayag
