we purchased a Intex above ground pool over the shut down and decided if we were going to keep it we wanted it to look a little bit nicer and a little bite more modern, so we gave it a makeover

I love this! We are purchasing a bigger pool next week and would love to build this on my own without much help from my husband. If you don’t mind answering a few questions for me? First off, did you dig holes for the fence posts? Can you please tell me the color of the stain you used? What are the trim pieces, metal? Where did you purchase those. And lastly, can you please explain how you accomplished the top pieces? That sit flat around the top of the pool. Like how you connected those to be sturdy. Thanks so much! Looking forward to hearing back from you.

This is super cool! I have a few questions, what stain did you use? When measuring the wood, did you measure a little larger than the pool? I was wondering how you were able to get it to be so flush to the sides of the pool. Lastly, is your pool right on top of gravel? Does that affect the smoothness of the bottom at all?
@The_Heights2 жыл бұрын
The stain is early American. I measured the perimeter of the frame legs to get my length and width so that it would fit tight to where the bottom of the angled supports hit the ground. And then use a deck board on top to fill in the gap so it appears to be nice and flush with the pool. The pool itself is on a leveled surface using dirt or sand the gravel is only around the perimeter to give the supports/legs somethings solid to land on.

@The_HeightsКүн бұрын
Thanks! We don’t really have winter here in Florida so it doesn’t affect much at all and the frame is oversize just enough to never touch or interfere with the actual pool or framing

Hi, this is great. Can I ask for the posts in the corners and around the perimeter, did you set them in concrete or anything? Or just dug and backfilled with dirt? How deep did you go? There is a ladder on the inside of the actual pool that you can walk up and get out very easily, and on the backside of the pool now there are two steps to get up and get in the pool, not shown in this video aside from that, the wood has held up very well… It was sanded thoroughly, but in general, which would you do need to be cautious overtime to maintain it
