Chris and Rob Henderson discuss why women see men listening to Joe Rogan as a red flag. According to Rob Henderson, why do women view listening to the Joe Rogan Podcast as a red flag? Why is being moderate considered a green flag? Why is far right-ism and far left-ism seen as a turn-off in the dating market?

I've read the study - It stated was done using targeted adverts that adjusted to over represent under represented groups, but didn't say what those were. You'd presume it was racial and sexual minorities. So the sample is based towards minorities , but also social media users likely to take part in the first place.

Listening to Joe Rogan means a higher chance the guy is into self-improvement and self education because those are the topics he talks about. Automatically associating Joe Rogan with terms like "far right" indicates someone who follows mainstream headlines without any critical thought.

"Automatically associating Joe Rogan with terms like "far right" indicates someone who follows mainstream headlines without any critical thought." --- which is something that women tend to do. they get wrapped up in the emotions garnered from the clickbait headlines. this is why women are easier for companies to advertise to. because women tend to feel before they think.

Joe has some right leaning views. I would even call him a centrist. But in the last few years his guest list is predominantly right/far right. There is a rumour starting to circulate that a lot of his usual left leaning guests do not want to go on his show any more. People are not only listetning to male health topics but also far right bigotry and hatred from certain guests. Edit: I have watched almost 1500 episodes of JRE including fight companions and MMA# starting in the 300's I have been alot more selective lately maybe only watching one in four episodes.

Dude I disagree with Rogan probably like 60% of the time and I've still listened to him. He talks about a lot of interesting shit, not just politics and self improvement. Hell I listen to Chris religiously even though I've seen some iffy takes and I've seen him host people I'd consider complete hacks, yet I still listen to him since he's also had some of my favorite public intellectuals on his show who I do respect. It's called nuance and balance. You can disagree with someone the majority of the time but also take them seriously when they point out something that, while it may be controversial, is still true.

Relative to other media people Joe Rogan very much is more level-headed, but I've always been put off at how much red-pilling the guy has had to undergo over the years. As a woman and long time listener of JRE, from its inception, any “woman” who sees listening to JRE as a red flag is a giant flaming red flag! Nothing screams I’m a weak chick looking for a weak man who doesn’t have independent thought processes quite like that… yikes! JRE helped me really examine myself as well (it doesn’t just help men), especially much of those early days podcasts. It was a good lesson in “why does this make me feel angry or inadequate? What can I do to change myself or the way I’m thinking so this doesn’t upset me” and not take the attitude weak folks do of “this is bad, how dare they, yuck!” Grow up into real woman sad little girls in grown up bodies… it’s not the world that’s the problem, it’s you.
@christopherkucia1071
@christopherkucia1071 8 ай бұрын
Very true. Lots of boys in adult bodies too. It’s a symptom of a much larger both direct and indirect process that is encouraged by the elites, (plutocracy) through technology (technocracy) and economy (material, or lack of) Like, I could say we humans put ourselves in this situation, and maybe we laid the groundwork to allow for this dystopian modern existence, however I’m also positive that if these issues weren’t predetermined for this exact effect, these issues and mechanisms are NOW used malevolently and with precision pre-meditation. Thanks for being a normal and connected human that is striving to be their best. Or at least, strives to not be destructive, naive and stagnant. Our communities are the most important thing, OVER the individual. Because it is my belief we don’t actually do things for the individual, or at least it only brings you so far. Community is where the spiritual itch is scratched, for me personally as I claim to not be a particular flavor of religious. There is an attack on humanity, or at least in the way human society functions, and young women thinking listening to JRE is a red flag is a direct result of the narratives being pushed from up high for DECADES! Because these ladies actually don’t have an opinion on JRE. They are told and propagandized that he is a “red flag” and if not by design consciously, it is used to perpetuate regression consciously. And it doesn’t even matter if it was consciously intended or not, the effect would still be present. Peace and love! ❤️ ✌️ 😊

I have a guy coworker who's liberal and a total doormat to his way more liberal wife. I brought up Joe Rogan once and he scoffed at me and said he doesn't like him. I asked why and he said he just doesn't like him. Methinks his wife really disapproves of Rogan because he's not left wing enough. I'm conservative and see Rogan as a center left figure which I think is accurate. And Rogan isn't fringe at all. He's pretty much the number one podcast in the US. The left really has gotten kinda crazy and insular since Trump and the pandemic.

I mean correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Rogan actually solidly left wing (by that I mean neither center-left nor far-left but simply firmly left wing) on a lot of his positions (if I remember correctly he really liked Bernie Sanders) but the "problem" is that he's more centrist or even slightly "right wing" on these culture war issues like trans kids and trans females in sports for example so that's why he's viewed as right wing by some people.

With the women that are chiming in to comment that they listen to (even if occasionally) to Joe Rogan, this would be a great correlating factor to use in dating web sites - men will be predominantly okay with Joe Rogan and such men would be very dissatisfied (to say the least) to get matched up with any of the 55% of women that regard Joe as a red flag At any rate, ladies, if you use dating apps and are a Joe Rogan fan of sorts, might be a reasonable idea to advertise that fact And men might advertise they're interested in meeting women that are okay with Joe Rogan - so that way they can certainly screen out all the Woke nutcases and not waste any time on those lost causes

I am a 21 year old female and I have watched full joe Rogan videos. Although I have been told by my male friend that I am unique in the sense of my open mindedness, and the fact that I believe facts of feelings. I won’t get triggered by information that may present women in an unfavourable light but factually I know is true ( studies/science/statistics). I just know majority of women in my university lack this sentiment.

I bet a sizable minority of that 55% cant even find Canada on a map... I often think how odd it would be to date in todays world (and how thankful I am to not have to). At least for me I would just start speaking in code about my politics. For instance instead of telling them that I think that the gender pay gap is due largely to choices both of job and time dedicated to job. I would just say I think that labor tends to earn its discounted marginal value product. If they pressed me on what that means I would be a total horses ass and explain that if they do not understand the meaning of what I'm telling them, they should not have opinions on the subject to begin with. I would never make it past a first date lol, but I sure would have fun being an insulting asshole. That or I would just lead with how I do not vote, and I think people who take politics seriously (other than as a thought exercise of ideas, so purely for social entertainment purposes) are irrational and innumerate.

No. The 55% is because of "normies" being influenced by media. A huge number of those 55% are not far-left, they're just told to stay away from certain things. You're also looking at modern women who date on apps like men are just a name on a rolodex. The pretty ones, if they want, can go on a different date nearly every single day. You're bound to build up some stereotypes over time and all it takes is 1 or 2 guys who were terrible dates who also happen to link Joe Rogan that links the mind forever with the 2. Also, ask a bunch of single previously married people in the same age range too. I wonder how picky that demographic still is. My experience is they want to know your bank balance, do you own a home or condo, do you have a pension or retirement savings, and how healthy are you. Everything else is secondary.

You should define your polling process along with your results. For example, the results of any cohort polled from Instagram is very likely to be quite different than results from the same poll administered to a non-Instagram using group. The method of polling carries with it an intrinsic selection bias that must be adjusted for or disclosed when the results are stated. If you present the results without defining the process, then your results will be taken out of context and are, as a result, essentially meaningless.

When the middle ground and the mainstream has gone through a profound shift to the left, anything even slightly coloured by traditionalism, normativism or conservatism has got an air of something reactionary and extreme to it, however reasonable and moderate it might be in reality.

I always find interesting when people throw stats out there without context and take it as truth. When in fact, polls rarely tell the story. It takes only a small segment of the populations to begin with. No one knows who these people being polled are. Like any stat, it can always skewed in any desired outcome. so, really, these numbers mean nothing as a whole.

Im a man. Here are some of my red flags. Dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings. I used to be cool with it until I got burned by too many girls like this. High heels, lots of makeup, big nails, and certain hairstyles that scream high maintenance. Inability to stop talking. Never taking accountability for small things (leads to big things). Lack of empathy for those in worse positions. Lack of empathy for the other sex.

Hey now! I dye my hair and have piercings and tattoos. We're not all bad! I may struggle to stop talking sometimes because I have ADHD and get carried away lol but it's also because I love to have discussions, share ideas and again, ill get carried away if its something im passionate about (i'm working on it though). Compassion and empathy for all people are my biggest thing. If you lack in those areas then I'm not interested. Accountability is another big one for me. I sometimes struggle in the moment if I feel under attack (a lot of abusive relationships in my past) so I'll go into defensive mode. What I do now is remove myself from the situation, calm down, assess in my head what just happened and ask myself were my words and actions valid or was I led by my emotions and do I need to apologise for anything. Men and women just need to communicate more and in a healthier way...& not project their past relationship traumas onto the opposite gender as a whole.

Yes, it's called group think. Ironically enough that is what makes Rogan so awesome. He doesn't do group think. When he sounds mainstream it's simply what he believes not what other believe that he wants to mold to to please the old Twitter cancel crowd.

I’m a Gen Z woman, been a fan of Joe since I was 15, now 21. I’ve always admired Joes zest for diverse conversations. He’s not the sharpest, but he’s genuinely open minded, and is always down to speak to people he might not see eye to eye with. I respect and admire that. Personally, if a guy likes joe, or Chris for that matter, I see that as a green flag.

He said he has an IQ of 127 so probably sharp enough. Also he's worth well over 100 million that's hard to do if you're stupid. The thing is he drinks fairly often and smokes joints regularly so he probably comes off as less sharp than usual when he's under the influence. Just my thoughts what do you think? What else draws you to Joe and Chris or people like them?

@@cillinodonnell8729mate you’re spot on, I guess it would be the weed and booze haha. Joes not dumb in the slightest, he just comes off as a stoner sometimes. I just like listening to people, I like challenging my own beliefs and learning knew things and gaining wisdom from others. When I was 12-14 I was really struggling with what I should believe, what’s right and what’s wrong, and unfortunately I fell into a bit of a social justice warrior state of mind because I was always online. Joe, Christopher Hitchens, Jordan Peterson and others really helped me transition out of a really limited worldview.

@@cosmo588 It's winter here in Ireland so staying warm is my favourite past time right now. I go to the gym mostly just spend an hour on the rowing machine and do a few pull ups. I can run around 10 - 15 km I want to build up my distance and start improving my time and do some charity races. I like reading psychology books I used to work security during the night so I could watch a lot of KZfaq and read. Then I had the idea to become a K9 handler for a security company and go onto to qualify in explosive detection. Owning a high drive Belgian Malinois is fun but you need a really strong support system. Unfortunately there isn't an industry here in Ireland and it's dead end career wise unless I moved to England. So now I'm working in a forklift factory and studying Engineering part time. What drew you to meditating? Would you say that you are spiritual? What kind of volunteering are you interested in?
