Am I the only one who thought these two, were same person

Seriously impressive editing. Genuinely looks like there were two people involved in the interview. Ask question. Stop recording. Change clothing. Move to other seat. Start recording. Answer question in different accent. Repeat.

It was cool to see Chris interview his stunt double.

The reason Tate is the one people want to be like as opposed to Peterson, Willink etc is because he physically shows off and advertises the primal desires that guys have from a young age. He has money, women, and the ability to fight. He is a great marketer and knows exactly how to press people's buttons. The problem with role models is that the best ones tend to be everyday people who achieve the fundamentals such as creating a loving family and making a good life for themselves by creating value for others. If war was to break out, this man would have the courage to protect his family and gather other men to him in order to fight. It's not glamourous nor sexy and takes a lot of discipline and effort. Tate lives the playboy lifestyle which is a male fantasy but requires a whole different set of sacrifices to achieve that 95% of guys think they want but aren't really built for and would hate it if they experienced it for long enough. He does talk a great game however and you can tell that he means a lot of it despite his lack of filter which makes him an easy target for the wrong bunch. PS: to add to this (from personal experience), when people don't have an abundance of something, and they crave it, they tend to compare themselves to those who have the most of it. What they don't realise is that having that thing (money, women, power etc) has diminishing returns and you only need enough to satisfy your needs. Certain people center their lives around acquiring a thing and gather it for the sake of it because their personality is hyper competitive. 99% of people need an optimal amount and a balance. Tate has clearly stated over again that money was his focus from a young age and acquiring it gives him a sense of purpose.

Looking for role models in ‘media’ is part of the issue (used to be TV, sports, music, etc. podcasters and KZfaq personalities is the same principle). Being like someone else is an unrealistic goal

Firas Zahabi and GSP are great role models. They have the smarts and the physicality.

Mike is such a materialistic guy. He strikes me as someone who is trying to better himself, but hasn’t ever considered that this might mean more than being a successful, competent person. He ignores the spiritual, ethical, and cultural dimension of human life completely.

Chris, loved the way you handled this topic. You basically mentioned every single one of my male models, except Harmozi, and then you mentioned him. Another guy who’s also been doing cool stuff is Russel Brand and Tom. Keep up the Great Podcast ❤

Tate is absolutely necessary, because he directly opposes the mainstream message. Rogan and others like him are good, but they don't go out of their way to capture the minds of young men.

I just have a hard time finding anything that Andrew Tate says that 100's of other men haven't already said before him. Work out, do hard things, focus on work, do it regardless of how you feel, men have been saying this literally for thousands of years. Going all the way back to the stoics, these same exact lessons have been taught. I don't see anything original at all, OTHER than the delivery. His communication is good. The message, it's as old as time...

Tate is not unique in his core positive message, but he reaches way more people by his viral trolling approach to it. I think Tate strongly believes that the potentially 'toxic' side-effects of people taking that trolling seriously and literally is worth it for the greater goal of his own fame and outreach. There are positives and negatives to his influence - it would be preferred if the biggest viral figures were the ones that were solely positive, but it seems like there is no better way to go viral than to trigger people and become controversial.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them. The biggest manipulations involve throwing in smart, obvious facts and motivational talk. This helps you to believe he’s a ‘good’ person. He is still the person he showed before but is being smarter now he has a platform and much to lose. People DID watch those original videos. He still believes women should be subdued.

Why wouldn’t a man strive to be competent , confident, assertive , physically attractive, having the ability to think for yourself , the freedom to become better in essence is Tates tenets . Why is that Wrong?

There's two sides to masculinity; Responsibility and Authority (Power). The likes of Jordan Peterson and Jocko Wilink are all about responsibility, but don't demonstrate quite as much of its benefits in terms of the authority it brings. Either because they don't know or its too controversial, given the times we live in. Andrew Tate sells the authority side of things, especially as it pertains to women, something that men are not allowed to do in current times, which is also ironically, the aspect of men that women respect the most.

David Goggins is the best example of healthy masculinity imho

Honestly I don't think you have to be superman to be a Good role model, just be vocal and don't get arrested. Joey swoll types. Express the value of hardwork but with a large chunk of respect. Tate is not doing boys any favors in respect to the views he expresses about women. You take an already unpopular boy and he tells the average girl she belongs at home,that she's mens property, lol he's toast.

If you ignore what Tate says about women you're setting yourself up for a future disaster.

Tate was smart enough to latch on to movements in the sphere of men. But when he brags about hustling and cheating lonely and sad men i don't know how he can be taken seriously. He does NOT give a shit one way or another he just wants fame and money. Don't believe me? Look at how many reality shows he was in.

30% of what he says is to garner views which is completely fine. You need to stay controversial so as to stay relevant but people are way to sensitive and take everything quite literally. I like Andrew tate and alot of his videos are actually not that regressive rather they motivate people to work on themselves and be better.

See, I find Goggins so inspiring. He embdies true struggle and what overcoming difficulty can yield. Tate I see as a joke really if im honest. I dont feel inspired by him. Jocko is also a fucking beast, as is Huberman.

Sorry, he is NOT saying things that have not been said before. He's saying lots of the key messages about empowerment, psychology, self-responsibility and the like which I and many other people in the personal development field have been saying FOREVER! Sadly, he is saying empowering and positive things but using them in a NEGATIVE way that glorifies himself and his bank account. Young men and all women deserve BETTER

Being 30 yrs old in my case which I don't consider to be really young anymore I can honestly say litlstening to tate deff made me want to go to the gym more and to put the work in for everything else in my life. I'm pretty sure most of his base is around 15 to 25 so for him to affect me like that caught me off guard

Thurston is just trying to save his brand by not agreeing with Tate. Tate is right about women. Tate commands men to take on responsibility. However, if a man has more responsibility, he must assume authority. No authority? No responsibility. Again, no authority? No responsibility.

I get that someone can have opinions you don't agree with but can we all remember when Tate got on twitter to belittle a father trying to raise money for his child's cancer treatment and essentially wanted him to beg him in an open forum for his help? In the western world top athletes and undisputed guys like kambosos, thor bojohnson, bjs, calzaghe for the last generation with present dads are good role models. Boxing has always had a lower class audience so the trashy media doesnt report correctly on these people.

Mike actually makes the case that what Tate used to put out was the real him. He really thought it was OK to describe how to pimp women online to A) make money from sub and B) show how he does what he wants. Because no one was watching him. The biggest self snitcher on the planet.

Didn't think Thrursty would be the one to say what I've been thinking the last year about Tate, that it's all the fucked up short form content of things out of context for a mile that has been making him look terrible. I decided to listen to a bunch of long form interviews and discussions with Tate and realized right away how much he truly believes in what he says and just how genuine he follows the things he believes.

Everyone always talks about how they agree with "most" of what Tate says. But I am yet to hear a single thing he's said that I disagree with. I don't mean to sound like a fanboy, but even the more controversial or outlandish takes he has, he does a very good job of supporting his ideas and views with strong logic.

6:05, that’s exactly right. Tate is smart enough to know how to galvanise that message, and wrap it up with his own politics. He jumped on the band wagon of greater men like Jordan Peterson, and uses their ideas to build his franchise around. I’ll give him his due for achieving what he has, but he’s standing on the shoulders of giants, whilst muddying their politics with his politics to disguise the message of toxic masculinity with positive masculinity.

Im 100% at how he describe Tate. Tate is right maybe 70-80% and then he is 20% really wrong. But i think he is a better role model than many modern "men". But i think if you stay with Goggins, Joe Rogan, Peterson and Dewayne Noels from Dry creek wrangler you have a really good guide for men.

It's all about context and how you personally interpret it

Thinking about it the list of guys he mentioned are not somehow seen as the most desired by women. The paradox is that Tate seems like the guy that should be desired by women (and thats why young men want to be like him) but when you listen to interviews with women and all of them hate him 😂

Goggins and Willick are people telling their story on the other side of their experiences. Tate has his eyes set on reality TV from his earliest years, trying travel shows and big brother. The person we know him as is just a formulated persona, no different to how Brian Johnson created Liver King. Both narcissists who have deluded themselves and others that they care about societal issues and of course, they are the answer.

I don't listen to someone who wears more than 1 watch at the same time.

I worked for an Ultra High Net Worth individual and everyone that "hung" out with him thought he was cool, but back in the war room (office), he'd talk smack about those people & he was a shrewd businessman & would run over anyone & treated staff terribly. Mike got manipulated & Mr. Tate was working him w/ the charm & persona as is necessary to get ahead in life/business.
