I am a meitei from Imphal, when my 7 yrs old daughter asked will she still see her kuki friend when her school reopens i have tears in my eyes, like her i have many kuki friends. When Prof Bimol said "it hurts" we can all feel it. We common and ignorant people are just blaming and hating each other while the Government watch it silently.

I recently visited a Bank to reduce the interest loan on my home loan. I met a Kuki brother from Manipur who was working there. Although I just met him, he would call me personally and guide me what and how to tell to the Bank manager, which helped me in my interest rate reduction. This is the beautiful unspoken love and care we share. Lets hope we go back to the good old days soon!

This is the first time I saw someone with intelligence. I appreciate how he pointed out the root cause of Manipur. If we are biased about one community we become blind on the other side. To know the real truth we should open our minds to listen to both sides of the coin to understand the situation. Small and poor states are fighting and dying and our PM did not utter a words. Our civilians are used as their tools/weapons for the political game. We all need to come together and fight with the government rather than fighting between us. My brothers Kukis, Nagas and Meiteis, Meitei Pangals and Nepalese and more, I am sure we can live happily together again if this dirty political game is cleansed! We can clean this together. Karan: In your interviews, please give the other person a chance to explain their position rather than you always interrupting them, with your voice and/or your fingers and being bombastic overall. Being a bit more humble and listening more than thinking of what you want to say next may not be a bad idea. I'm glad the professor was very clear on what he wanted to say than you paraphrasing his thoughts wrongly.

It's not easy to reason with Karan and in this case Karan has a pre decided conclusion in his mind and unwilling to listen to the nuanced reasonings given by Prof. Not everything can be binary black and white solution. Karan it'll help you to open your mind to appreciate Prof. Bimol's arguments and his insights.

A couple of days back when I was talking to my mother on d phone, she expressed her anguish & hatred for Modi for his silence on d ongoing Manipur issue (incidentally, she was kind of a Bhakt). Although I agreed with what she said, I was indifferent, nor did I respond. This interview, when Prof Bimol said "the silence.... & not a single word....... it really hurts", That melted my heart & made me so emotional. This interview should be telecast in all d local TV channels (Kuki/Naga/Meitei) in Manipur.. Having been educated by a number of Kuki teachers, I sometimes wonder what the hell this bloody conflict is all about! It does hurt, a lot. To see friends from schools fighting each other on social media, like we never sat together or laughed at silly jokes or shared lunch together. We've all been so wrong, allowing ourselves to be played like a fiddle for politics. These memories and not knowing if all could reconcile, stand united to fight for our integrity, haunts me day and night. I wish we could all come together as one and live in peace & harmony.

One of the best and eye opening talk between two well refined and gentle human.

Remember the below points. 1. The 40 seats in Assembly are UN-RESERVED seats any ST can come and contest, in the recent General assembly election 1 kuki even contested in Imphal valley constituency. BUT NO meetei can contest the seat in Hill district. Only HILL ST people can contest the 20 seats which are reserved for ST. So meeteis living in Churachandpur have no voice. 2. All the tribal people were under the meetei KING. 3. Even in recent years, KUKI village chiefs comes to the current king of Manipur to bless their village and forgive them for any mistakes commited by their ancestors. 4. Ask the NAGA they will also say the same thing that KUKIs are refugees and illegal immigrants in MANIPUR. 5. When the British brought kuki in Manipur, they told them that KUKIs must take approval from NAGA village chiefs to stay in hills of MANIPUR, and KUKIs need to pay rent to NAGA chiefs, This are all in written records. 6. Meeteis were in ST list, but some KUKI officials and GOI removed meeteis from ST list. 7. Almost all the TOP high ranking police officers in MANIPUR are KUKIs. We meeteis are in General category. And you know how many marks people from ST community needs to score to crack UPSC and how many a General cetagory must obtain. So these KUKIs are not holding the postions not on merit list but on QUOTA/reservation. Yet they still say they are under-privilege. 8. Who is doing the ethnic cleansing? NO meetei are living in kuki dominated areas. Their houses have been burnt and bull-dozed and made playgrounds. But there are still KUKIs living in Imphal valley in Old Lambuland area, New Checkon area etc. Who is doing the ethnic cleansing here? 10. Kuki says meetei burn down churches. But what about the meetei churches that were in Churachandpur? Why did the KUKIs brun down the churches that meeteis go to? 11. Internet was banned in whole Manipur but particularly internet was still working in Churachandpur district. Who is siding with KUKIs? 12. The solution to peace is th KUKI TERRORISTs who are in SoO aggrement with GOI must stop attacking meetei villages. HOW can a SoO milltants go on rampant and do violence. Why is GOI letting them do it. In the agreement it is clearly written that they must stay in their designated camps for that GOI is giving these KUKI terrorist monthly salary/stipen from our tax money. How can GOI let these terrorist allow them to do such terrorist acts agains its citizens? 13. Once these SoO KUKI terrorist will be put behind bars then peace and normalcy will pevail in Manipur. Its because of them the KUKI people are making lots of scene/drama. 14. All the amenities are in Imphal valley because these are all private firms/entrepreneur. No private firms wants to invest in Hill areas because these KUKI terrorist do extortion and take taxes even from small shops. If you do not beleive ask the PUNJABIS/MARWARIS/Tamilians living in hill distric of Manipur. 15. Valley people does not want any hill area. We do not want to live in hills. The reason for ST demand is just to protect our Imphal valley and our identity. 16. Meetei language/script is genuine thats why it made it to the 8th schedule. Do the KUKIs or any tribal in Manipur have their own script? NO THEY DO NOT. 17. In Manipur meetei language is the LINGUA-FRANCA so they need to speak to communicate with other communities, we did not forced them to speak. 18. There are so many things that you do not know. 19. The issue started from Churachandpur, they started burning houses there first. Then whatever happened in Impahl was just a reaction. 20. KUKIs says they were doing a peace rally, but how the hell they carry AK47s in terrorist outfits walk the streets and started looting meetei shops in May 3rd in Churachandpur. 21. Tribal rally was held in all hill districts on that day. Non of the areas dominated by NAGA carried out any violence against meetei community. Why did the kukis did it then. KUKIs said meetis brunt their ANGLO KUKI war gate. HOW CAN meetei go to a KUKI dominated area where 10000 kukis are doing rally and burn their gate? All these KUKI propaganda. They have direct fundings from Israel, we have video proofs. 22. There was never a ANGLO KUKI was they keep on fabricating history and facts. 23. Why did KUKI first burn doen all the FOREST OFFICES in all the kuki dominated districts even before burning the meetei houses and killing meeteis. 24. Convoys and trucks loaded with weapons are sent from Burma three days agao to supply to KUKIs. How is this happening under the Army's watch. 25. Hill people talk about not developing hill areas. Hill area have their own hill area committee and funds are directed to them to develop hill districts, these money is not under meetei. These are handled by their own tribal people. But their own ministers/MLAs are so corrupt and they use it as their pocket money and buy flats in Delhi/MUMBAI. Yet they have the audacity to blame meeteis for not developing hills. 26. Biren govt took initiative it is called "GO TO HILL" and many progress did happened in hill districts , new hospitals, universities, medical colleges , employment for women etc were done. 27. India is not a part of Refugee convention of 1951 so it is not mandatory for us to look after refugees. Will you allow a Pakistani relative to enter India without passport? NO, so why should we treat these illigal KUKI immigrants differently?

Just 2 months before this crisis, I met one of my all-time best friend, my vaiphei classmate, after 12 long years as he was posted outside. Both of us were nostalgic, we talked, laughed together, and felt nothing has changed in both of us. But this crisis snatched all those silent smiles, now I don't know how to call him or what to say and talked about. Only I could pray for his well beings in silence.
