India buying discounted oil was a strategic decision to avoid global hyper inflation where crude would have crossed 200$ mark. India helped the global south and also Europe as it bought that oil via India. India didn't sold weapons to Russia like China or to Ukraine like USA, west. Regarding democracy in India, Indians are democratic as a civilization, we question irrespective of our interests because we virtue critical rational thinking.

In front of the entire world, India, if it backs the Modi government, is clearly siding with Russia against Ukraine and all of the NATO nations which are currently supporting the people of Ukraine in their struggles against Putin's war of aggression and colonialism. Didn't India fight back successfully, against the aggressive colonialism of the British empire, as did the United States of America some 240 years ago? It would seem like two nations which both shared such history against an aggressor, would both be in complete support against any such tactics when used against a weaker nation, but when India's PM visits one of those nations and not the other, alignments become clear. Despite Modi's fine words of peace talks being broadcast during the conclusion of his vist, if such words aren't backed with equal aid and assistance in finding a peaceful solution to end this war, then they are hollow and without substance. We fear that Modi's visit hides an ulterior purpose to his visit, and he may be agreeing to sell more weapons and munitions to further Putin's agenda of conquest and forced compliance. Ukraine and her people deserve to determine their own future.
