This was Players Classic at Goodwood, and I arrived early in my Cobra to capture the cars entering the meet. All had to go past the roundabout I positioned myself at, so I caught a whole string of custom, modified and classic cars in the most entertaining traffic jam I've experienced for a while.

I was driving the 3,000HP Interceptor GTR. The heat from all the car exhaust was mad for such a hot day. Had to pull over just up the road to lose some heat. The temp hit 235F! If you’re at the Festival Of Speed I’m in the Performance Park West apart from Saturday when I’ll be in the Performance East Park.

@@siicoviiciouse1629 hi and yes. This is the first time the car had been seen in public for 40 years. 1968 Interceptor GTR 1 of 1. V8 8.1L Original Chrysler 440 big block now 493 Super Stroker. Largest known outside of USA. Original rare 4 speed manual. Original wheels widened and Jensen Big Bertha arches added which they never used. 204mph, massive torque matched HP to weight. 0-60 in first gear at 1.98 seconds. Power from 1,000 rpm. Pulling away in first nice and slow pulls 500 torque at 500 HP. Engine naturally aspirated at 800HP. H-pipe, side pipes quad full racing road legal exhaust with electronic openers. Water methanol, 3 stage NOS which comes in at 120mph producing twice the power of two Chiron’s, no power steering or ABS, 14” wide tyres at the rear. Unique bespoke Ram Air system producing high PSI but only works with ultra fast acceleration so makes HP the faster you go and builds to 3,000 but only at 200mph. Swap rear diff to get to speed of 306mph. Featured on ITV News Goodwood Festival Of Speed and one of the most talked about cars at Goodwood 2022, especially by some of the F1 mechanics from Red Bill and Ferrari. Best of all it was given a massive thumbs up by Max Chilton and his father. A very rare and unique car indeed which will be at next years Members Meeting and Festival Of Speed 2023 West Supercar Car Park. The car that needs to be seen to be believed.

The Interceptor GTR has an original Chrysler 440 which is now a 493 Stroker at 8.1 Litres. Rebuilt with NASCAR internals and 10 to one compression making 800HP naturally aspirated. No ABS no power steering. 14.5” wide tyres at the back. Original 4 speed manual gearbox. 3 x 450 shot NOS so when 1st stage starts slow at 100mph and the other two are thrown in once that goes to get one quickly up to 204mph, so with real Ram Air making 48% of the HP the car then makes 3,000 HP but only at 200mph. The faster you go the more horsepower the car makes. 0-60 1.98 seconds in 1st gear. 10 more torques than a Bugatti Chiron naturally aspirated. When the 2nd NOS bottle is thrown in it’s like sitting on two Chiron’s with no power steering and no ABS. The Interceptor GTR is the fastest road legal 1960’s car on the planet and a very unique and ultra rare Hypercar. Four year project built 3 miles from Goodwood. Featured on ITV news for the Goodwood Festival Of Speed. Lots of minds blown this weekend at Goodwood when people realised the car is no joke and very dangerous :)

The Thing and the Kübelwagen are different. The Thing is a Type 181/182 (depending on whether it’s LHD or RHD) and was made a lot later than the Kübelwagen which is a Type 82.

@@AdamC3046 they’re literally different cars, with the Kübelwagen being produced from 1940-1945 and the Thing from 1968-1983. Look at the front of the vehicles, they’re completely different.
