Hey there! We just caught wind of your video and loved seeing your interactions and impressions of the modsaw! I wanted to reach out and provide some updates based on your feedback and a few tips to help with the setup. 1. We have greatly improved our packaging to try and ensure every saw arrives safe. We have switched to micro bubble wrap and a much sturdier corrugated box. 2. As far as the tape measure being slightly off, this is easily solvable by moving the front rest and motor housing slightly to fine tune the measuring tape, it could have been moved during shipping from when I set it up, I will definitely be creating a helpful video to explain this better! 3. The little anchor tab that came in the envelope can be "popped" into the rail at any area instead of removing components and sliding it in from the end. Additionally, the branding post can easily be removed and moved without removing any of the other more important components. Thanks for your support on our new product! Jonathon@modsaw

I just purchased one! I love it! I secured mine with a countersink screw under the motor and the end printed piece on a 1x4 board 45” long. Very solid and mobile.

Looks like it'll do the job just fine.

The correct way is to measure carbon to carbon.
