Certainly. Aguilar amplifiers can be connected either series or parallel to your cabinets. You can connect your cabinets either way and the amplifier will distribute the output evenly. How you connect depends on if the Aguilar amplifier you have has one or two speaker outputs. When attaching three cabinets we recommend connecting in series: amp -> cabinet 1 -> cabinet 2 -> cabinet 3.

I’m running TH700 with 2 SL115 cabs… just awesome. No horns or tweeters to deal with. 😊

I went into my local guitar shop recently and played the AG 700 through Aguilar cabs (light cabs), it is a BEAUTIFUL sounding amp, much better in my opinion than the Tone Hammer and THE best sounding bass amp I ever heard. However, I was using a Fender Jazz bass (4-string, passive) with no pedals plugged into the AG 700 and I noticed it cut-out frequently. All the videos I had seen on KZfaq didn’t seem to do that. Any idea why it was cutting out when the gain knob was at 11:00 and every demonstration video I have watched on it is at or higher than 11 but I didn’t notice it cutting out. This is the only thing keeping me from purchasing it. If you know why and how it can be prevented let me know. The only thing I wasn’t aware of was whether I had the active or passive switch on, but I was playing through a passive bass. Thanks!

Hello Billy. We're glad you enjoyed the AG 700 and yes, your instinct is right, the amp should not be cutting in and out. Wouldn't it have been a good idea to have sound from all the variations ??? And how do you connect 3 cabs when there's only 2 slots on the Amp .

I just bought the AG 700 (old version). I'm thinking about a flexible cabinet combination. If i connect a SL112 (8ohm) + SL212 (4ohm), does it mean that 1/3 of the power goes to the SL112 and 2/3 of the power goes to the SL212? (This way each 12' woofer get exactly the same power... Appeox. 233 watt?). What about connecting a single SL112 (250watt max)... Is there any risk to damage the amp or cab?

How are we gonna connect 4 and 8 Ohm cabinets together? Like a chain. or with seperate inputs? Thank you in advance.

Hey Baris! Both are fine options and distribute the output the same with no damage to your gear.

What cab pairing would be better for the tone hammer 700 in regard to ohms? SL212 4 ohm with SL115 4ohm Or SL212 4ohm with SL115 8ohm

Hi Raymond. The TH 700 cannot go down to 2 ohms, so one 4 ohm cabinet and one 8 ohm cabinet is the way to go.

@AguilarAmplification awesome thanks! Do you know if there would be any phasing issues if i paired my 212 with a 115? Or would 2 212s be a better pairing?
