I know right, it's sad that we never got to see him in an All Black jersey but just goes to show the depth in NZ. He definitely would have been a first choice winger in any other international teams. Such a sad loss.

Tenei Te mihi atu ki a koe Sean, te rangatira, e moemoe ra. He mihinunui ki tou whanau, tou hoarangatira me nga tamariki e Rua. Big lost for Te iwi Nga Ariki Kaiputahi, but you are not forgotten. Like the Gear brothers you represented a small iwi and took yourself and your iwi to great heights. Didn't know you personally but knew of your ppl from your whanau in gissy who were crazy proud of you. As a Maori you were a rugby idol I told my son and nephew's to look upto, your lost will be felt by maoridom for a longtime Te tamatoa 💯. What a loss, and imagine the great things you would have achieved for our ppl... E moemoe ra Sean Wainui ❤️.

Never been so heartbroken over a death of a person I have never met.. been following him and Paige for a few years now. Watching them grow their family, seeing them get married, progressing in their careers.. my heart is so sore for Paige and to know his baby boy will only know of his dad through other peoples memories. Can’t imagine how Paige, Arahia and the wider family are feeling! Gone far too soon ❤️
