for those who don't know: it's quite common for dark culture/depression/other mental illnesses to be covered up by cute/upbeat things in japan. There's a whole video (i can't remember what it's called) but it was so interesting. There was a young guy who had his room covered in pink and anime girls, but if you looked closer, there was a small noose, suicidal messages, and some gore. Fashion was also brought up, and i just find it so intruiging that once you understand something truely, it can hit totally different. Thats what i like about this type of culture. Just thought I'd say this since some of y'all seem to be first timers to this type of thing ^^

When I think about it this is probably what it sounds like when we tell our parents that we are depressed. It sounds all innocent and something not to worry about to them but if you really listen to the words you understand how dark and tortured the person really feels. That's why it's important to listen to people.

so uh,, i’m gonna be gently honest with you my ex wrote this song shortly after we broke up well, not this song exactly, but he wrote a poem like,, expressing his emotions afterwards bc of it, and since he’s a good friend of the creator, he sent it in and,, yeah basically, after deciding that i needed to break up with him (a lot of mental stuff, we were both in bad places and we only did terrible for each other mentally and yeah), i’d quickly fallen in love for someone else, and my ex started to wh*re himself off to others to try and get my attention again,,,, he’d always try to seem like this happy, upbeat person, casually bragging about a new partner to me to get me to take note and try to take him back, when it was kind of a cry for help ,,,,which is where this song comes in me n my ex are really good friends now, and he’s gotten out of the dark place after our breakup, but every time we hear this song, we lose our minds bc it takes us back to when that shit was happening it was serious, but we laugh it off the best we can now long story short, this song happened bc two dudes broke up

But I think the original purpose of the song being born is kinda the same idea I had about people putting up facades to fool people about what is actually happening. There was a young guy who had his room covered in pink and anime girls, but if you looked closer, there was a small noose, suicidal messages, and some gore. Fashion was also brought up, and i just find it so intruiging that once you understand something truely, it can hit totally different. Thats what i like about this type of culture. My point of view on when I first listened to this song: About a cute girl loving her senpai. My point of view on the song after reading the lyrics: A girl wanting to be with the boy she's always loved but can't, beacuse he already has a girlfriend. Tries to change her appearance to get his love but she knows nothing will work. Considers suicide becuase of it. Dang, some of Moeshop's songs can be depressing lol.
