when the drums and bass kick in properly at the start it's such a moment of warmth and calm, Mogwai are always at their best when they're all the way chill or aggressive and that's another fine example right there.

This music makes you soar. Listen to it while driving in the darkness of the night. It's just magical.

It's hard to pin down one band as The Favorite but Mogwai has to be it! Seen them live 3 times at First Ave in Minneapolis and they never disappoint. Flawless performances and amazing visuals each time. A sign of a great band is one that doesn't get stuck in one style of sound, and that's these guys. On one album you'd think you were listening to 3 different bands just from the sound of one song to the next. Tip: check out Explosions in the Sky from Austin TX if you enjoy Mogwai. ;)
