yeah they know what they are doing. releases tend towards ambient but live they tend towards crowd favorites. they do it well... smart band.

Frank Dailly I was going to be seeing them in December here in Scotland but my ex sold the tickets :( I've been into them since '99 but never had the chance to go see them with someone-if you'd like to bring me along and put me up I'd be more than happy to go! this song reminds of glastonbury 97, sunday night at the second stage, when life still felt bright and summer lasted for ever, and my lsd soaked brain flew away in to a timeless bubble where this song lasted a lifetime and all my friends laying on the ground around me, looking up at the stars and feeling that these where the moments that made a life lived.

First time I've seen a whole live audition jump six inch high at once , several hundred beers going everywhere...and two women nearly fall off the balcony.....love it . Not recommended if anyone has a heart murmur or nervous disposition

My lover broke off our relationship today. The whole thing took place during the pandemic, at a distance, but we had 2 blissful weeks together at the end of 2020, we saw 2021 in together. Love in the time of cholera. I don’t know what happened. He is damaged, he could not maintain the connection due to his own issues. Why do people lie? Why do people let you down? Why do people swear they are being honest but instead are keeping a huge piece back, the crucial thing that will come up and crush you in the end? Why was I a fool and did not see it? Now I cannot sleep and I come to Mogwai for balm and understanding. Why isn’t there someone who loves Mogwai next to me?

" I have no major love of Metallica..but a band that plays monotonous,repetitive crap like this should probably keep those opinions to themselves..and Ulrich could play rings around this drummer on his worst day.." EDIT - It's been 8 years or so since I originally made this comment. I think it was in response to a news story I had read. At the time, I was in a much different, darker place. After listening to this again now, after my musical tastes have evolved and I've grown more as a person, I can appreciate it for what it is - pretty damn good! I made a mistake and will check out more of their stuff.
