Rafi sahab, the greatest ever. After having heard thousands of his songs, heard him speak for the first time. How different he sounds while speaking.. Its amazing to see this shy, humble person get totally transformed in front of the microphone. Can't imagine how this person could have sung..Aaja re aa jara, Suku suku, badan pe sitare, aaja aaja, O haseena.. Rafi sahab is GOD..

Sir I agree with you completely that he is a very shy person and his voice is different while he speaks and the voice which we hear when he sings is quite soft and clear and is very sweet and the same voice gains confidence and turns loud when it finds a mic . Sir plz do not call him God as he is a human just like us who is a mortal. The only thing that makes him different from those humans who are rich and famous is that they are arrogant and rude while he is just like a newborn child whose soul is pure and free from hatredness towards other humans while I feel that his parents are very lucky to have a son like him.

@Vicky Chauhan Agree but my point was that at least in his case, Hindus and Muslims have the same unanimous opinion. He was not one of those mad fanatical mullaas who hate everyone else out there just because they do not belong to Islam. He was very broadminded in the sense that he accepted every1 equally and has sung many Hindu devotional numbers with sincerity and respect.

His name is known in every Asian household and he lives on in miioms of hearts. And there are entitled people trying to measure him by Bharat Ratna standards. He is far far beyond Bharat Ratna. Bharat Ratna recipients are remembered for a while and then only by historians. Rafi Sahab is remembered and listen to non stop around the world and will never be shelved into history

He had a sqeeky voice that’s why you never heard him talking but what I can say his voice was was actually for singing crystal clear, to impersonate him is impossible I will say only one in a million or billions cannot match his voice, true legend 😀.

Mohd Rafi, who was essentially a shy man, thought a singer should talk only when necessary so as to preserve his voice. He was only born to sing is perhaps why he sounded absolutely different than when he spoke. Thanks
