Senua's saga, like Scorn is more an interactive showcase of visual mastery, than a traditional game. you can clearly sense the studios behind these games do not care about an advanced or flawless combat system, an intricate skill tree or microtransactions. These entries really start to blur the boundaries between videogames and movies, and I'm all for it. Granted, they being displayed right next to Call of Duty or Fortnite in the Game Stores is setting the wrong expectations.

The fact that he doesn’t have on both earbuds on bare minimum is disrespect to the sound engineers faces as the main draw of the game are the voices nd amazing 3D audio the game has!

Seriously, he missed the equivalent of half the game with his one earbud. More than that even with mono audio. Like the 10-draugar-long fight is as much music video as it is game, and he missed all of the testosterone-full wicked track escalations with his mono audio. Man paid for a virtual concert and then just listened to the entire thing with one ear in the worst audio quality a person can manage. Overall he has such a antagonistic and nitpicky mindset going into the game that completely prevents him from engaging with it halfway. Like immediately when the game starts he starts running and never walks (except when the game absolutely forces him to walk). And he nitpicks about swords not being used and a guy being tied to a thin branch, even though these inconsistencies are purposely put in to make it more stageplay like. I think it comes from his image being a guy who is unfazed by things. He's like the dumbasses who walk thru a haunted house and laugh at everything and make jokes and make sure everyone knows they're not scared (haunted house actors unanimously hate these people). I think that a similar mindset is probably why so many people hated this game (to be fair some people can't handle slow games for whatever reason, it's understandable).

idk why so many people are complaining, especially on sites that require you to have a copy to review the game are all insanely high. I feel like these are people who have never played the first game and were expecting some god of war dark souls type game for some reason whatsoever and did zero research ( playing the first game lol )

Honestly pretty disappointed with this game. I don’t even care about the playtime I just hate games that don’t respect the medium and try too hard to be movies. Like just make a fucking movie atp if the cutscenes and “ultra immersive cinematic content” are all it has going for it.

Could care less about graphics, most games I play currently are cheapo indies. But I enjoyed the first installment of Hellblade. Although the new one is passable, it was not very good. As an Xbox series X owner, (TBF mostly pc gamer, but I'm not a xbox hater) games go to Microsoft to die. I can't think of a studio Microsoft bought and made better.

Dont understand how people are so against this style of game... like if i found this game as a kid, I'd have fallen in love with it. i love games that feel like a movie. As a kid, i always walked away pleasantly, surprised thinking about how my parents would never even understand how incredible games can be at telling a story

JK but in all seriousness it's messed up that Xbox didn't advertise this game just so they could get rid of the studio for a Tax Write Off.

Although I haven't the slightest of clue about how well this game played, it has been absolutely incredible to watch. Probably one of my favorites. The puzzles really slowed it down to a crawl though. -4/10 for the puzzles.

Game would work very well if tiktok wasnt around to be honest. Tiktok has ruined peoples ability to concentrate for more than 5 minutes. Thats why single player games struggle.

This is absolutely a work of art in every aspect from someone who works in the film industry and plays a shit ton of games. For a game that has focus in the combat, there's not much focus on the combat. For the first at least.

Honestly I really liked the game for the most part, but some of the stretches of walking needed to be cut WAY down and the ending was weak af ngl. Also it shouldn't have been so expensive.

Definetly one of the best games of this year, the cutscenes are outstanding, the storytelling is great and the voices in her head really elevate the horror factor of the game. Its so full of love most game companies today just make a quick cash grab but this one really stands out

7 years in making for 5 hours of walking sim....this is absurd, games like these are the reason why single player games get hate. Wheres games like Zelda TOTK ,Elden Ring, Hades, Baldurs Gate 3 are constantly proving there's future for Single Player games....
