It's easier to assume he's not putting in the work now because he's fat but for him that's HW fat and getting drunk with his boyfriend at a comedy club is small potatoes vs the trouble he's usually in. In cage Jon is high IQ and knows how to use his reach and fights dirty. Much harder to hit than Sergei. Tom in comparison is green without a ton of impressive opponents. Has more energy, way more power but fight IQ isn't on Jon's level and getting inside Jon's reach to land power shots for me seems unlikely. Plus I'll bet Jon took mental notes of Tom blowing out his knee and will oblique kick repeatedly in hopes of ending the fight early because Jon's a dirty bastard that doesn't care if he ends someone's career. My money's on the crackhead but I'd be rooting for Tom

So here’s my thing abt the “Outwrestled Cormier” Argument. Jon failed to implement his grappling for the first 3 rds against Dominick Reyes, dude has no college wrestling background and just outworked jones to deny the grappling. Aspinall is just straight up bigger and stronger. So i doubt jones would even be able to do anything until post 3rd round.
