Hey! That 2007 tmnt movie was badass. There was flaws, yes. But, that movie was awesome. Also I use to play the smash bros rip off tie in game on my cousin's Playstation 2 and those was times I would not hesitate to go back to visit.

Turtles in Time is an absolute Masterpiece that still aged really well to this day. The SNES might have been limited to 2 players, but it also had extra levels that were really fun. I haven't gotten the chance to play Shredder's Revenge but I really want to; especially if 6 players really blows it out of the park.

Shredder's Revenge was an absolute masterpiece and easily my favorite turtle game since the arcade beat-em ups. Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to the Cowabunga Collection when it eventually comes out. 🍕🐢

The Hyperstone Heist for the Genesis wasn’t even mentioned. I know that it borrowed many ideas from Turtles in time, but it doesn’t mean it was a bad game. And lots of people didn’t have SNES but were the Genesis players and our TMNT game was a joy to play! Definitely a worthy title to be mentioned!

I actually prefer the gameplay of Hyperstone Heist more than turtles in time. The run button and the speed of the game felt better to me. I did like the extra bosses and the throwing of foot towards the screen in turtles in time.

I actually finally got a chance to play TMNT: Hyerstone Heist through the Cowabanga Collection was a letdown and I wasn’t even comparing to the arcade games or Turtles In Time. The game was too short, too boring, and I believe the last stage or near it, you had to fight all the level bosses. That was tough and I wasn’t motivated to beat the game.

I only played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus when my stepsister at the time rented the game somewhere we did 4-player co-op with my bros and her husband. It was really fun too especially since the 2003 Turtles series was the one I grew up with.

For Shredder's Revenge, you mention that they got everyone back from the voice acting crew from the 90s animated series. How can you say that when James Avery, Uncle Phil, the voice of Shredder, is dead? Come on now do you research better.

I believe they meant all voice actors for the turtles. I never watched the 2nd animated show, so I was surprised to see that April O'Neil is voiced by that 2nd voice actor, not the very first one. However, they sound almost identical to each other!

Turtles in Time was, I thought, unbeatable. That being said, I agree; Shredders Revenge is fantastic, and the clear number 1 for this list. It's probably my favorite beat em up ever, and makes my top 5 games easily. Theres been a whole one day I havent played since launch, and that's because I was visiting family.

I'll always love Turtles in Time, but Shredder's Revenge is so damn good that I'm proud to say it's not only my favorite Turtles game, but possibly my favorite beat em up ever. Definitely in the top 3 for sure!

@@johnny-mnemonic13 I was actually just having this Convo with my brother cuz he played SoR4 for the first time and I hopped on with him. I think I might like the actual gameplay a little more in Shredders Revenge, but I think I like the music in SoR4 more (especially the elevator section of level 9, such a banger) Overall they are both up there as 2 of my favorite beat em ups ever without a doubt

@@Collin255 I think they both killed it in terms of gameplay. I love SoR4s updated cell HD graphics, while not so much with Shredders Revenge. They used pixelated graphics which is a bummer. Music wise , I think SoR4 won that category too. It just had a little more bang. Replayability factor, they both do good justice , but since SoR4 has been out longer, the developers had time to include newer modes like survival mode, which is super fun. With all that being said , gameplay is what matters at the end of the day and like I said both nailed it. But if I had to choose, i would put SoR4 slightly higher. What is your top 3 beatem ups?

@@johnny-mnemonic13 Nice, yeah Survival mode is a blast. I'm excited to see if Shredders Revenge will get any extra mode or stuff. And my personal top 3 would probably be those 2 games plus Streets of Rage 2 I suppose, super addicting game with phenomenal music

Out of all TMNT games I have played in my life, 2 of them that are so good that the rest of them don't even really compare, it's the TMNT 4 Turtles In Time and the new TMNT Shredder's Revenge, both of these games remind me so much of the cartoon I grew up with as a kid and the nostalgia is so epic to me, this was a great video on the best TMNT games ever made well done Mojo Plays ✊

I'm absolutely loving Shredders Revenge but Turtles in Time is still my favorite Turtles game. Especially the SNES version. The music, the tight controls, the level design it's all just masterfully done! If Turtles in Time is a 10/10....Shredders Revenge is a 9.9. They are that close. Both incredible games!

Shredder's Revenge was fantastic, and has me so hyped to revisit the original arcade game. The NES version of it was a hardware-limited poor imitation at best. Can't wait to play Tournament Fighters again as well. "Riiising Thunder!"

I just beat the Statue of Liberty, with a level 2 Splinter, on gnarly... Without getting hit once. On my first try. Shredder's Revenge is WAY too easy. And it's a shallow as hell experience. After you beat the game and unlock Casey Jones in two and half hours, I do hope you enjoy it, because that's all you'll be doing for the next 18-20 hours until you get completely sick of it and begin to question why you just aren't playing another game which actually consists of more substance. And this is coming from a huge TMNT fan as well. Shredder's Revenge is good, but it's shallow as hell. So much more they could have added, or some to give out more substance, (like make it more rewarding to complete challenges and gather collectables... Instead of having BS challenges... And then simply just awarding xp for all of them. Once you reach level 10 with a character, you've seen it all) but of course, they already have the first Dlc planned...

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall Of The Foot Clan" for the Game Boy will always be one of my favorite TMNT games despite how easy it is to complete from start to finish, since it happens to be the very first TMNT game I was able to beat on my own when I was a kid, and it quite possibly has the best-sounding version of the original cartoon theme song, which I can never get enough of listening to every time I play it as well.

One TMNT game I'd honeatly love for them to expand on was the exclusive 2014 movie based game on 3DS. Developer Magic Pockets (Ghost Rider, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance) went in a very unique route with the TMNT in that it's a VERY light Diablo clone. You play from an isometric view, level up your turtles while unlocking specific abilities for each, you collect a bunch of items where you can craft new weapons for them (though they're still tied to their respective weapons), so for example you can fit Donnie with a newly designed Bo Staff with an electrical attribute or you can fit Mikey with newly designed Nunchucks that have a poison effect, etc. You can absolutely tell they had a small budget for it but if they'd ever do another TMNT game in this same type of genre with 4 player co-op I think it'd be great. Credit to Magic Pockets for trying something new with the TMNT.

Shredders Revenge is on Point. Man... i would love to get more content for that game. The gameplay is just great and fun, the sound is on spot. I played this on release, and now iam replaying it together with my son. He waits for me to come home from work and immediately wants to start playin. when we ride with the car, we listen to the soundtrack. I enjoy this so much, as its a Masterpiece of videogame art. It kinda reminds me beeing 14 years again and play Turtles in Time on the Snes with my childhood friends.

It's nice to see the GBA games getting some recognition. Handheld versions of console games weren't given much attention back then because they usually sucked, and the Turtles games from from 2003 and 2007 weren't very good so no one cared about the GBA games, especially since the later also had a NDS version. But it doesn't make much sence to put the NES port of the arcade game instead of the arcade game itself, or showing the arcade version of Turtles in time and call it TMNT 4 (and the SNES version is better because of the tighter controls)

SNES was the closest I got to the arcade classic back when I was a kid. Man being able to co op with three other ppl still gives me nostalgic vibes. 🐢 🍕. Shredders Revenge is no doubt the best one.

I grew up playing TMNT on the gba advance sp made in 2003 by Konami.. recently picked up both a game boy sp and a copy of the game. Still as fun as it was when I was a still a young flame. 🔥 Excited for the collection so I can experience turtles in time for the first time.

I've only played 4 turtles games in my life. The first three on NES, and now Shredders Revenge. I didn't play Turtles In Time when I was younger because I think I was all turtled out by '93/'94, and I regret not playing it. Hopefully when the Cowabunga Collection is released, I'll finally play all the ones I missed out on growing up. So far, Shredders Revenge is one of the best turtles games I've ever played.

The only thing missing from Shredder’s Revenge was the original voice of the Shredder, James Avery (BKA Uncle Phil) who passed away back in 2013 I think. Other than that, Shredder’s Revenge, Turtles In Time (both the console and the arcade game), the NES game, the 1st Arcade Game, The Manhattan Project, and the Super NES fighting game were my all time favorites. Can’t wait for the Cowabunga Collection in November!

At a recent steam festival, I played the demo of another potentially good game - Arnold Bounty Hunter. It looks more like the first Battletoads - there are not only fights, but also various adventures with platforming, hydrocycles. It also looks interesting. I liked the demo.

I haven't played a lot of TMNT games, but they are really great! My first introduction to the games was TMNT2 on Game Boy. That game was a lot of fun! I think I later played the first Game Boy TMNT which is way better than the NES TMNT1. Much later I played TMNT4 Turtles in Time. A friend of mine I unfortunately lost touch with I played the game with him in the 2000s on the SNES. Fortunately in my hometown there is in fact an arcade of Turtles in Time.

Loved Turtles in Time as a kid & I also loved the Re-shelled remake on the Xbox 360. Can't wait to get the Cowabunga collection in a few days so I can take it with me to go on the Switch.

Wondering why you guys list the SNES version of Turtles In Time (which is better due to more bosses, extra levels, etc.). But literally the whole segment show the Arcade version. Oh and Hyperstone Heist deserved at least an honorable mention.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus is definitely and totally one of My Most Favorite Childhood TMNT Games of All Time, but I also love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge are also Super Badass and Cool to play in the Arcade Timeline from my Childhood Years I'll NEVER forget with my friends. I agree 100% with you on Shredder's Revenge. I have it for Android and man!, it's easily the best beat 'em up I have ever played in my life!. I love it and I play it everyday; and I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves the TMNT and/or beat 'em ups. It's awesome. 👍

My favourite one is 1989 NES TMNT. Looks quite modest even by NES standards but plays fantastically! Wish it had modern remake with modern graphics.

I was a Sega kid, so Hyperstone Heist was my "Turtles In Time". I'll give Turtles In Time it's due though. Legendary game, but I prefer Hyperstone Heist

I find the best turtles games are the ones that are side scrolling beat'em ups. Best way to see Donatello kick some shell.

I want a AAA TMNT game open world game. You can have points in the game or the map where you switch from turtle to turtle and the combat can be rhythm based. Why yes I just described the Arkham of TMNT games. You know you want it too.
