With the franchise's inclination towards high speed and well-placed traps, these are the hardest levels Sonic has traversed. For this list, we'll be looking at the toughest levels from Sega's "Sonic the Hedgehog" series. Our list includes Final Fortress from “Sonic Heroes” (2005), Death Egg Zone from “Sonic & Knuckles” (1994), Wing Fortress Zone from “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” (1992), Lost Impact from “Shadow the Hedgehog” (2005), and more! I personally love Titanic Monarch zone, once you’ve realized what to do and where to go, it’s very fun.

So Eggmanland is the actual number 1 on a top 9 list. That makes sense. It's the only stage in any Sonic game I've ever played that I haven't finished, which I plan to one day remedy. Also, I'm 97.5 percent certain that these lists are confusing Lost Impact with The Doom. Pretty cool seeing Sandopolis on here. Before Sonic Origins, I don't think that zone has appeared on any top ten Sonic list...like ever...

Putting the whole Sonic 06 Game on the List was DEAD WRONG. Fight me, this Game is not at all Hard. Well, expect the tornado run part

Sonic 06 doesn’t qualify as a level you can’t use the game itself as a valid point

Most of Sonic 06 isn't too bad. Wave Ocean is diabolical. Radical train is a bit annoying too. Rest of the game is actually quite fun

Completely agree about eggmanland, but i had fun with it despite the difficulty. Actually, the difficulty makes games more fun for me.

Eggmanland was definitely something I couldn't get passed when I had Sonic Unleashed. What made it more of a hassle was that I had it for the Wii console. So obviously it was a tough playing the game at times, especially since the battery on Wii remote kept dying.

Labyrinth Zone. A hair-pulling hard level I actually got passed.

So as a kid I played a beat every sonic game that came out. Eggmanland is easily the hardest level I’ve played. At first I thought I had just lost my way lol but after further research I see it’s not just me
