When this song appeared in the scene of the 1. season of Babylon Berlin, I found it the most suggestive and hypnothetic music scene I have ever seen in a movie- Great song and a fantastic scene. I have seen it multiple times.

I think the part of the charm is that the music is not articulated, it's somewhat distorted, it also doesn't follow common patterns, the first time I expected the music go to slightly different directions, here and there.

The six notes from the trumpet ta ra ra ra ra ra is elegance, beauty, astounding and melancholic. The whole song is a masterpiece. Violins and the solo drums, and of course the voice will live forever in our minds. From all the t.v. series of the world "Babylon Berlin" has the best song.

From the first time I heard the song I got addicted. It is truly the best song of 2018 and one of the best songs on series ever. I've listened to it a 1000 times now and never get tired. Wow.

Habe vor einigen Tagen diesen faszinierenden , fesselnden Song das erste Mal gehört. ( Die Serie noch nicht gesehen ). Beim ersten Mal , ....... hats klick gemacht..... und seit dieser Zeit bekomme ich den Song nicht mehr aus dem Kopf. Besser geht nicht , ein Meisterstück , wo alles passt. Gratuliere allen Beteiligten. Top !!! Und vielen Dank für diesen Song

Bei mir ist es genau so. Habe es jetzt erst bemerkt, als es die Tage bei GNTM im Hintergrund lief. Habs mir auch sofort gekauft. Seit dem muss ich es einfach mehrmals am Tag hören. Verrückt! Es ist absolut magisch, wie eine Droge.

Bravo to GQ for this! Babylon Berlin is a Masterpiece on a level with Scorsese's Boardwalk Empire (same time period) or David Chase's Sopranos. The subtitled version is far superior because you get to hear the characters speak in the actual language of the story and in their own voices. (The voices dubbed in are all wrong and the lip synching is lame.) The cinematography is brilliant and the casting is magnificent. Especially enjoyable to see the live depictions of faces and scenes from the works of Groz and Otto Dix, the masterful portrait artists of the era, a genius addition to the sweep of the production. The story parallel to the actual historic events in Berlin of May 1st, 1929 is quite heroic. The only miscue I could find are the 1960's era guitars that show up in a club scene which was just lazy, and especially too bad since could have used National steel guitars of the period and added more to the Art Deco feel (much as the use of the Stroh violin in Boardwalk Empire). The Moka Efti was an actual club in Berlin that was in reality even more wildly elaborate than the one in the series. I doubt though that they had a better band. I hope that the cast members of Babylon Berlin make it to Hollywood eventually. Many, many thanks to whomever posted this! Danke!!!

Seit 03.Juni 1924 lebt Franz Kafka nicht mehr. Wer sind Sie wirklich? ;-) Kafka hätte es sicher nicht besser kommentieren können und stimme ganz mit Ihnen überein. Ich habe mir seit einigen Tagen die 16 teilige Serie Babylon Berlin angesehen und es ist für mich ein absolut gelungenes Werk! Regiefehler gibt es überall wie hier zum Beispiel die Gitarre ;-). Liebe Grüße
