In this video I apply the colour coat to the Moke. Using 2K solid, 2:1 with 10% reducer. Moke was completed with 3 coats and used 3L of paint.

What type of paint did you use. 2k? I might have missed that topic.

Great to see some colour. Yellow is a difficult colour to spray and get good coverage but you seem to have done well. Was that the original colour of that moke? My moke is Blue White which is another poor covering colour however I'm looking forward to doing the paint. Now the fun of putting the jigsaw back together again.👍

The original colour was N.V green. Using a white undercoat helped with the colour coat.

I enjoy your videos and tutorials but had to comment. How much spray drift has ended up on your garage walls ! Well done

Very little if any overspray on the walls, there was dry paint dust but that's all.

@@CafeRacerLab what precautions do you take when painting 2k at home?

Make sure you use the correct mask for organic vapours, I would suggest 3M. Avoid having any skin uncovered as the solvents can irritate skin. Ventilation is important, I keep both garage doors open and have a commercial extraction fan. Make sure kids and pets are not home. Dust is an issue but hosing down the garage floor and driveway did help reducing dust.

@@CafeRacerLab that's great to hear thank you for the advice. I've always feared 2k as everyone says how toxic it can be - but the results are certainly a step up from 1k
