Not gonna lie, I thought it was designed by a Crazy AI (artificial intelligence) rather than someone named Albert/Alphonse.
@RobertTolone Жыл бұрын
It’s sculpted by Alan Evans AKA Crazy Al.

Since it’s a mug, I assume a 3-part plaster slipcast mold will be made from the resin master?
@RobertTolone Жыл бұрын
Yes. At the very end of the video there are a couple of pictures of the mold being made in the mug factory.

@@RobertTolone Ah, I got it-end of the full video Did an 8-part slipcast mold one time, it was not as much a disaster as most of the class, but John Gill only gave me a B 🤬

By "pre-painted", is that applying a thin layer of rubber on the mug?
@darktherapy Жыл бұрын
No he paints it with a blue paint that’s very close to the color of the rubber he’ll use to cast with. The rubber sticks to the paint better.
@RobertTolone Жыл бұрын
@@darktherapy That is incorrect. I am coating the mug with the same rubber I use to fill the mold. I generally only coat those areas which are most likely to catch bubbles.
