I used to drive the 170 Turbostar from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverly for 4 years before Scotrail bought the Class 385s.

Would like to see some Midlands/Birmingham banterage not sure if there’s any scenarios in the game. Maybe the SVR with an excursion on the Snow Hill lines? Just seems that the game is very southern-centric and as a non-southerner it feels alien. Other than that, great you’re back with the train banter.

319s used to be my favourite EMUs. I used to travel on them everyday, now we have boring Class 700s with rock hard seats.

The local rag suggests that bi-mode battery trains will be used to replace the 171s. I certainly haven't heard anything from my contacts at Southern about new stock or stock acceptance work on the Uckfield line.

I remember 319s turning up in rush hour with 4 coaches rather than 8 with people running down the platform, now we have the 700s which I hope last long as Govia love running trains into the ground

If you look carefully at the front of the train at the bottom right/left light you can see the train move a few inches 0:56 - 1:12

Do agree with you, would be nice to see a 360 in a new livery. They did paint one into national express with stripes livery but quickly changed it back when abellio took over.

Also, you've been on 172s. WMR to Kidderminster and possibly LO GOBLIN. Southern are currently planning to fit batteries to some 377s for the Marshlink

Great video, only one correction, the class 360 on the Great Eastern have always been purple, they have never changed. They used to be in blue and white but they are all purple now

I once was on a MML 170 BDM to st pancras, just left BDM told rear lights on the unit failed but kept it going but was limited to 10 mph I think all the way into london

Apparently Southern will convert they’re newer Electrostars the /7s which sometimes go to MKC and they will be converted to have batteries

It would be nice to see a backdated MML possibly going up to Leicester or Derby

I've been on a Northern Class 170, also Southern's 171s are going to EMR in 2022 after conversion back to 170s

That's funnyhow in britan they slow down for tunnels on the medium speed lines in amarica when a driver sees a uneel they think yes! time o make up some time... and then they open it up all the way and do at least 100 MPH in the tunnels then slam the brakes on as they come out of it lol

this is so weird to me, living in leicester, because i see crosscountry 170s going between birmingham, leicester and gatwick airport or i see emr HSTs and 222s on the midland mainline, so seeing a midland mainline 170 is bizarre

Southern would probably get 769s either from there own (if they still have them) or other 319s. Then it would be no different than when they had 319s, other than the diesel obviousely.
