PC didn't give a shit about the swearing, he was just fascinated with Molly. I bet PC drops the 'F' bomb often.

Ho Ho! This was hilarious - especially the expression on Prince Charles's face when the air turned the same colour as his blood! HRH obviously took it in good spirits as he has recorded a comedy tribute to this 1977 interview.

I love it! Bloody hilarious....and love PC's little smile and slightly perplexed look. He almost..looked handsome. Molly rocks. Long live Molly!

There was also that bit that didn't go to air when the Ian said to Charles, "I saw your mother in London" and he shot back "Her majesty the Queen" Norman Gunston did a famous parody of it.

Chas always had a great sense of humour. He'd have dined out on this story for years after the event. Molly is a living legend famous for his bumbling interviews. He was pretty influential & talented in the music industry being a record producer amongst other things. There bit where he refers to her maj as "your mum" is not included here for some reason. After a near fatal accident he is almost back to "normal" - well as normal as Molly ever was.

What I most recall was Molly trying to break the ice with a then very pompous Prince Charles by saying between takes, "I was in London last week and I saw your Mum ride by in a coach" to which the Prince frostily replied "You mean Her Royal Highness" (that is nowhere on the net). Molly got even more nervous and it was downhill from there. Charles is a much less formal person these days and it is great to see him having a laugh - admittedly at Molly's expense.

Hang in there Molly - you can't go yet! You are a bloody national treasure! Still, at least it was from hanging up Chrissy decorations for next weekends big party. Very Molly.... If he goes, a national day of mourning should be declared.

DONNA AND FUCKING GLENN "The Australian megachurch, which left the Australian Christian Churches organization in 2018 to become an autonomous denomination secured the venue for $23M in 2020, after long and tedious negotiation sessions - which took over a year."

@PeterHBne1 Exactly. What other people do in the bedroom really is of no interest to us. It doesn't change whether they are a good person or a good son or daughter or good brother or sister. Just the same as skin colour doesn't mean you are a good or bad person.

Molly was lucky as Charlie as we now know is a sensitive man so he would of empathised surely but did Molly really swear in front of him, wow that would of been way out there in those days so glad he did though. I remember him way back in early 70's. Thinking of Molly concerned he may have permanent brain damage, don't want the guy to suffer trapped in a wheelchair like Chris Reeves RIP.

SORRY, I Really want to know if this was a special made tricky show by a way welcoming for Prince Charles, or just a rehearsal mistake taken accidentally, to the public. I don't think that was a technical mistakes for what Molly had done, whereas it was said to be a deliberately tailor made welcoming program for Prince . Right?
@mattbod9 жыл бұрын
Well Charles has got better at putting people at ease as he has got older as has learned from his sons who were of course taught to try to have some personal warmth. I hear Camilla is also very pleasant but charles then was very staid.

Just listening to this on ABC radio Damn its funny. And the prince was a prince. He has learned to laugh at himself. I like how he says "Is it really 40 years. It seems like only yesterday. I wish it was tomorrow, I'd cancel it" www.abc.net.au/am/

A classic Molly interview but with extra bumbling, lol. The guy's a dead set legend in Australian music and started the careers of many artists. Always controversial and not liked by all, his passion for music garnered genuine respect from artists and record producers alike. "Do yourself a favour"..... Good on ya mate.
