This is week 1, and Carlos did not go easy on Molly with the choreography! As she does more Latin her range of movement in her hips will increase and she will gain confidence as well, but this was a very accomplished performance and I loved it!

Score - *8/10* An incredible first performance, Samba is so tricky and she made it look so easy. Great voltas, stationary Samba walk and botafogaes. Molly has so much flexibility and hip action, Carlos is definitely a very hard working pro and it shows. All her underarm turns and her backbend shimmys were beautiful. She has musicality and flow it really was so good. But then again, when you get an Anne Marie song, short dress, sequins and fake tan and you throw ur hair out in ur solo section will it be anything other than fabulous? I doubt it. Another great couple, can't wait to see where this goes, hope that her Ballroom is just as good and then we will have a front runner.

Best Latin of the night, this looked more like a week 5/6 which says a lot. She has bounce, which is surprisingly neat at this stage. I love how she actually sinks her knee in 0:32. I would say she run out of steam towards the end, quite a few things still need to finish like her arms, but impressive! 8/10.

Great fun, although from what I’d seen of her before, that wasn’t a surprise. I think she can be really good, and I look forward to seeing how the new pro does too. Watching it through a second time, I think I like him a lot. He kept his eye on her almost all of the time to make sure he was ready to give any help she needed instead of being concerned with showing himself off as much as possible. We’ll see how they go. Promising start.

VERY, very good. Best Latin dance of the night by far. Im not an expert on the footwork, and would love to be corrected/educated on this, but it seemed like she wasn’t closing her feet at the right times and was taking extra steps where she shouldn’t be. Those are finite details though, overall she nailed this!

Score: *7* This was pretty good for week one. Love her pivots and the energy that she oozed through her movements. The bonuce was there. Im not gonna beg for samba rolls, but I felt that one could have elevated the performance just a little bit. I would love for her to isolate the hips a bit more especially for future Latin dance especially Salsa, Rumba , etc. but for week one I enjoyed it!

I've been watching Chinese Entertainment shows for some years. The standard of singers, dancers, and entertainers just leaves us in the West so far behind. And their staging of shows is awe inspiring. Carlos is excellent. But he's in a pool of excellence. By the way many don't know Jessie J won a Chinese Singing Competition (Singer 2018). It's a Competition for well known stars. I've never seen her perform so well. They just want "spectacular" out of every singer... or dancer, or musician. So whilst we watch Amateurs in BGT and the like, they have massive stars competing, in singing or dancing competitions in their own field of excellence.

So much of the of the Samba movement starts in the feet, and this lacked in Molly's performance. Paying more attention to footwork will greatly enhance the hip motion. I do enjoy Molly's flair though. She's got a lot of potential. 6

7 Love these two together!! A little overmarked I would say, though. This was difficult choreography that Molly coped with very well. Unfortunately, Carlos was out-shining her quite a bit though so he could've toned down the content or his own performance a bit. She definitely has a great musicality, confidence and shows a lot of potential for subtlety and detail aswell. She's one to watch for sure!

For me Molly has loads of potential, but this dance didn't really do justice with her, simply because of the music, which wasn't really my cup of tea. I really enjoyed Molly's musicality and her fearlessness, as well as the dynamic between her and Carlos. However, I wanted to see a cleaner footwork, I wanted Molly to really stretch her moving leg and use her hips much more. I would love Molly to work on her spins and on her arms, as they were a bit weak. Loads of potential, the energy was there, the effort was there, I just hope she gets more traditional music next time and work on the smaller details, and then she will really shine. My score: a 6.
