I had the pleasure of seeing Allison Brown when she was part of Union Station in a quaint trattoria/restaurant setting in southern NH back in the 80s. The room probably didn't hold more than 75 people but it was packed and we were fortunate enough to have tickets to be there. She was a very stoic and mesmerizing player as part of the Allison Krauss band. Actually, she came across as if she wasn't sure she even wanted to be there, but her playing was absolutely extraordinary. She didn't sing or speak, but when it came time for her break in the tune, she didn't hold back. An amazing player then and now.

Molly Tuttle has the nicest, warmest, most genuine and authentic smile. She brightens up the room, and she enjoys when others solo. Plus such excellent guitar work. Wow.

Love the way Molly gives the nod to Uma Peters here. Much younger and less experienced than the others, but Molly makes sure she gets her break and smiles encouragement. Very classy.

love this song by Van Zandt as someone raised in a town in Van Zandt co. Texas. l used to sit as a kid watching Freightliners rolling by on U.S. 80. This copy of this vid is fading hope you can save it..

Seriously - there's something to be said for being your truth - being in your moment on stage. Her performing attitude here is a young female bluegrass Miles Davis. 😁 You go girl!! Be who you are!!

wow. we saw Molly and her brothers playing in a pizza parlor in Palo Alto well over a decade ago. everything we thought she might become has come true -- fortunately for us all.

I only have one question: how come I never run into amazingly talented players like this in my local Guitar Centers? Not my normally preferred genre but even I can tell how brilliant all these players are. And I'm so late to the Molly Tuttle train but jeezus...she is just mind-blowingly great. And smiling and having fun in every vid of her I have seen. More power to her and everyone else.

There is some great playing and singing here but Alison Brown on Banjo has to be one of the best if not the best in the world. Her playing is fast, tasteful, creative, extremely smooth and always in perfect time. Incredible talent.

I was there! Front row! Just lucky to be in the right place at the right time. And in a surreal turn of events, after the show, which was in a very narrow room at the end of the hall, Molly Tuttle's guitar handler dropped her guitar and damaged it rather severely. Molly was very unhappy, but imagine all the luthiers who will jump at the chance to be the one who fixes her guitar!

Molly exudes sweetness and class. One of the very best out right now with the voice of an angel and hands like she sold her soul to the devil. I love all her CDs...the latest is off the charts strong.

Not really it's a cover album of not that great songs it's not what she should be going,original material she wrote would be better.

@@mbsnyderc I was referring to the "When you're ready" CD that Ryan Hewitt tracked/mixed and produced. The last one she tracked herself and that sweetheart did a nice job and she's learning.

@@soundthinking1534 Yeah I'm not a big fan of Ryan's work it could have been much better.i don't feel that molly has worked with the right producer for what she does well,or one of the would have received more attention from the general public,not just some press.shes great but her records don't play to her strength as an artist.

@@mbsnyderc She plays by the bridge and has a softer style as well. Live sound people botch her totally and she comes off as timid acoustically. On Ryan's CD the piano and other instruments made her sound like just another great studio musician in the background and they just showcased her voice mostly. I'd do the exact opposite (I am a professor who teaches audio recording for at a University here in Michigan.)
