Large canvas tree ring pour! Paint split technique, Blues and gold! Acrylic pouring, fluid art. 36 in by 36 in canvas! Colors: paynes grey, gold with fine gold glitter, metallic cobalt blue with aqua fine glitter, pthalo blue, white, sky blue. My regular pouring medium and water to thin to consistency of warm honey. I got some unwated cells (my mix was prob a tad too thin) cells and it's not perfect, but I love it!
Hope you enjoy the video! Thank you so much for watching. Happy painting!
I am so happy that I found acrylic pouring/fluid art a few years ago. It has helped me in so many ways and it just keeps getting better and better. This visual arts creative outlet has made me so happy. I am loving this abstract art! I hope to keep doing this for years to come! I have always been fascinated by modern and contemporary art. There is something about it that is so freeing and expressive. I love acrylic pouring because I get to experiment and really join the creative side of my brain with the scientific part! There are so many different fluid acrylic pouring techniques out there, so much more to try and have fun with. Make sure you are subscribed to my channel so that you may learn and be creative with me. I love hearing all of your comments. That’s really stunning. I love it. You’ve a,ways been brave about going big. Ohhhh, I wish you hadn’t tilted it. Making me tense! The gold looks like the sun coming through the clouds. Now I’m unsure of my thoughts. It’s still just so pretty. The little dark cells or spots ......I was told they were not cells but air bubbles trapped under the top level of paint.
@MOLLYSARTISTRY
@MOLLYSARTISTRY 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks sheila! Lol, don't be tense, I am fine lol! Sometimes air bubbles can pop and show the color underneath, if you get a bunch of tiny ones. But if the paints are thin enough and move over top each other, then one may sink to the canvas, the other stay on top creating the cell effect

It’s beautiful. So 3D. I bought a 36x36 painting from Goodwill and I’m going to attempt to paint over it. Do you think it’s easier to use a basket like you did or will my 6ft. table work? What do you think the easiest type of pour would be for a somewhat beginner?

First off the piece is absolutely gorgeous, amazingly gorgeous! But I'm a newbie to your Channel and your split cup process. I've watched a few of your pours were you've used the split cup. I'm old and slow so I got kind of confused on this one. Did you start with just a regular dirty cup and then finish with your split cut on your second pour? So sorry for all of the questions but I'm still learning, and would like to learn from the best people possible. Every piece that I've seen you do has been stunning I'm so impressed and I'm so grateful that you share this with all of us! Thank you so ever kindly

Hi Carroll! Unfortunately my camera angle was not the best for my first few pours using this technique so No worry about the questions! No, both cups are split with paint in this video, I just didn't have a container large enough so I did 2 cups. None of my ring pours are dirty cup layering. For my ring pours i pour down the side of the container so the layers sit on top of one another. For the split cup i put a partition in the cup and layer ther paints differently on each side. I then take the partition out of the cup and the colors touch, but there are 2 different colors touching in the same layer! Hope this helps! I may di another video with a buster angle so everyone can see! Thanks for watching and your kind words!

Watched you again. Really this piece is so beautiful. You commented that when you have a color of paint that is thicker, you get “these type” of lines. Did you do that on purpose? Congratulations on such a great piece of art!
@MOLLYSARTISTRY
@MOLLYSARTISTRY 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you sheila! If the paints are diff consistencies, the lines will get kind of wonky. If they are all thick, you will get large chunky lines, if the paints are all thin, you will get a bunch of smaller lines. It just depends on the look you are going for, but the all come out diff and are adjustable based on the consistency of the paint
