i think this is just a really try hard league. people are naturally gonna try to be pessimistic about losing MF and juice from affliction and with how we're still getting minion empowerment from necropolis, for a crafting mechanic, people are going to take this league to be a benchmark. People want to try hard as if to ask the question, "What is the cap on their favorite league start farming strat after all these changes? If they try their hardest to have the fastest clear and highest dps to minimize the empowered minions, If they make atlas adjustments to include Scarab farming, can they farm away doing what they like and feel ok that the difference in profit to solo MF in affliction is an acceptable loss?" I don't think every MF juicer from affliction is always a FOMO type player, but FOMO is induced if you convince your self maximizing profit per hour actually means accomplishing your goals for playing PoE, having fun. Personally, I want to try hard because there are so many ways to juice bosses on the atlas, not even counting scarabs. IDK if juicing map bosses will actually go towards getting more invitation guardian maps and t17 guardian maps, but finding any strategy that'll allow me to challenge myself on these new bosses and eventually transition to a build that can do valdo maps. Affliction was my first league in years and i didn't have the opportunity to comfortably do valdo maps. That's my goal for playing PoE, since i learned that's how i enjoy the game.

Yeah, hoping that it triggers the gems right away instead of putting them on a cooldown than trigger cause having 1 button to insta warcry isn't that bad.

@@xyzqsrbo the problem is mana tho, mana cost is doubled, it means its almost 40 mana per warcry, if you are using multiple then it skyrocket, and you still dont even have enough socket anyways

@@nathannavarro1177 Not really sure why you put that on this build, all of those points are irrelevent to this one as it uses gems in weapon swap and only 1 warcry lol. Either way actual warcry builds are fine, they'll just need life tap + call to arms + the 15% life gained when warcry mastery. Socket pressure is meh, you'd want to use second wind anyways so it's only -1 socket. With slam builds you'd be using a 2 hander so you have free chest links for that.

@@nathannavarro1177 You just ignore my comment? I already explained how to solve mana issues. You don't need a blink skill if you have leap slam, that' enough for the extra socket that call to arms takes up.

It says you can't use the skill directly, which is the same as triggered skills, so you can't actually press that skill's button so you shouldn't have to enable it.

@@firebird425 It's not a reservation skill (it doesn't reserve anything), but from the description it does seem like it's a buff that you have to toggle on.

no offense, but you should earn 5-8 divine just during the progress of completing the atlas pretty easily without even needing to get lucky. His day 2-3 is after his atlas is done and he wants to guardian rush. How long does it take you to finish the atlas? Because 2-3 days for most of the atlas completion isnt exactly a fast pace. Thats a fairly reasonable pace for an experienced player who isnt a racer who plays like 8-12 hours a day. Really fast players can get that done on day 1. There are two obvious areas that people can improve at to make progress faster. One is...just dont waste time. Never sit around your hideout. Have a game plan on league launch and be thinking about your next step while your progressing, not once your in town or at your hideout. Once you learn to play faster, the next area people can improve on is item hunting. Using PoE trade effectively is a highly undervalued skill by many players. For example, conner isnt exactly a fast player, but he is very good at hunting down items for dirt cheap on PoE trade. If you can turn 5 divine into 25div valued gear, then you can make up for your slow paced game play via savings. Thats generally what conner does. Just last league while still playing his RF build, he had about 2 mirrors worth of gear but only spent like 100-200div. Although his 5-8 div price point early game is mostly gated by the uniques he wants since its hard to find those for cheap since its fairly easy to price them. His body will go for about 3-6 div at league launch, and his shield might be upwards of a .5-1 div. The rest of his gear will be bargain binned were he will hunt for 1-20div value items for like 1-50c. And yes, thats a very doable thing to do when you understand how your build works and know how to set up filters. You have a flurry of item searches finding these cheap items and then once you get a collection of amazing items you got for cheap, you then generally need to buy items at there real value to get exact items to fix any res or stat issues you might be lacking still.

@@TheSpencer1000 I only play ssf, i’m sure that doesn’t help. Seems like anyone with any great build is 99.9% trade league due to ease of getting rare uniques. I can only use crafted stuff for most part.

But how the build looks and play before those 8 divines? He said himself this will be a "rough" leaguestart. His video is showing a character that mulled 8 divines to showcase . How is the progress starting from zero? Those are valid concearns.

Battlemage's Cry doesn't work anymore, because they removed the interaction with the spell damage

by the way, crying next to an unique enemy puts you at 20 power, giving your build as seen in this video 1m dps only, mine with the added 20% bonus from cry wolf puts me on 1.8 in comparison. on 30 war cry power i'd still do 2.3m dps with the defensive setup

its melee, if youre comfortable with those bosses then yes but if you have to ask this question then its probably gonna be a pretty big challenge (atleast maven and uber elder)

snipers mark nerf is like 4% damage loss, thats not even worth mentioning. the 1 point gained on call to arms already cancels that

Yes, its basically how Spellslinger works but except you're not wasting reservation, he will need to manually click it every time he swap (Which is fine, because this is how people trigger adrenalin on Champ. Also cast time on call to arms is Instant).

id watch the video for that explanation. its a major improvement next league its worth noting the automation part of the mechanic is unclear how it will work on swap till we see it live

im not sure if the automation will work this way, it might not. will have to try gem links to maybe smooth it out otherwise just keep playing it like this

@@nealhaldenthe way it looks like it will work to me is it will use a single buff you have linked on a 0.6 second cooldown (with 5 buffs it’d take 3 seconds without any CDR) so that wouldn’t work with or without weapon swap unless I’m wrong

Well Have to see how it works, I could see it going either way or possibly some weird 3 link of automate + call to arms. Worst case scenario is exactly what I played here

so what he means is pretended he was 2-3 days past kitava when he would have 8 divines, and put gear on a very underleveled character meaning the character will in fact be much stronger and 8 divs on day 3 is very achievable for most but hey even if you are a week in, look at what this char does it is sick lol
