It's the second episode of my mom and dad's 中国游 China VLOG. This was filmed on Mid-Autumn Festival, and one of the traditions in Hong Kong during the festival is going to watch the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance. But before we did that, of course we had to refuel with some lovely Chinese food!
This was a perfect chance to let my mom and dad try something they've never had before: Fish Congee. Plus, I ordered a few other super authentic cantonese dishes that they've tried before, but only in the UK.
And then, we went chasing the Fire Dragon!

oh, i walk by that Full Taste quite a few times and i walk past it to go to Mak's Noodle at the next corner. sometimes even us locals don't always know these new places and how good they are until we either be the lab rat ourselves or have someone recommend it to us. i specifically skipped this year's Fire Dragon because it was the first return of it and everyone said it was going to be ridiculously crowded, and turns out it wasn't too too bad. Glad your parents got to experience it.

Love watching your Vlog. I'm from hk. You are so smart! Cantonese style congee is very delicious, especially fish congee. However, be aware of the tiny fish bones. Sometimes they can get stuck in throat. So, please eat it carefully.

That was our breakfast or teatime or a very quick meal! 😅 P.S. For the night or day scenery, try the peak or TST waterfront. This (your hotel) was NOT the best location.

在我很小的时候在乡下的地方，每到时节也会舞火龙。火龙就是用香蕉树的身插满了拜神用的香烛，以前没有那么多灯光，所以很清晰得会看到火龙的形象，灯光太好反而影响了效果😂

My 3-week visit coincided with your. I was in Victoria Park the night before Mid-Autumn Festival to see the lantern displays. The Fire Dragon was there that night as well but we didn't stay for it. Had I gone back the next evening, I would've seen you and your parents, I hope.
