As someone who grew up super shy & then got diagnosed with social anxiety when i got older, this is adorable. I love how you were chill & kind, with her & not overwhelming or anything. Bc I would also be terrified singing in front of ppl at that age. The mom prob teared up seeing her come out of her shell, mine was the same way & would go “im so proud of you!” & you know what.. I agree with what another commenter said! Your presence/aura is so powerful and inspiring, it’s like us nervous/shy singers don’t need to worry about sounding perfect. We can tell you’re only there to guide and support us, no harsh expectations or judgement. Instead of the goal being “create the perfect singer” it’s “help this singer learn and utilize their potential, refining the skills they have already.” To me, that type of teaching (anywhere in life) is what creates true confidence and balance in a student ❤
