Wow, what a great story, script and acting. The kid was very mature as she told her father that they are moving so he could realize what he will be missing. Finally, the family gets together. As for your question, I believe a father is needed in a kid's life. My father left me when I was 5 years old. I didn't get birthday card or wishes from him. Then I saw him when he had few months to live as he had cancer. I did spend some time with him, but never had a chance to tell him that I loved him. I miss you Papa.
