What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

Same. My mom had 5 kids, with a pair of twins. She practically raised her first 3 alone because her ignorant ex husband was drinking or busy making another family. She then had me and my little sister. She has NEVER, neither my dad, have gone off to a vacation alone because they're too worried that something may happen to us. My parents have ALWAYS put me and my sister above anything it. As well as my mom has put my older siblings above her life ❤ I can't wait to finally get a career in 3 years and get my mom out of that miserable job at a cleaners and my dad to quit one of the 2 jobs he had for over 2 decades.

I work at a retail store and this legitimately happens all the time. The parents walk around texting or talking on the phone and say nothing. As an employee unfortunately I can’t say anything because they will call and complain about me, it’s happened before. Pay. Attention. To. Your. Kids.

stores really should stand up for their employees who are trying to protect their property....... They are worried about losing business but in reality........ if there weren't unruly kids running around they would get more business from other customers ....... I know if there were kids doing this in a store I would just walk out not buy anything... And the mother who did not pay attention was not even shopping ... she was just talking on the phone while kids were destroying clothes.

Reminds me of once I was at a Zara, a mom came in with her 3 kids - two older ones and one toddler. She just let them run everywhere and didn’t even look at them. The older girl was drinking some chocolate drink, she put it down on an expensive shirt and some of the drink oozed out on the shirt. I saw two women tell me mom and she just ignored them. Then as I was leaving, I saw the toddler OUTSIDE the store wandering around. She went near the glass barrier and stuck her legs underneath it (and could have fallen to the floor below!) but I grabbed her just in time. The mom ran out and gave me a mean look, I told her your kid could have DIED she almost slid down and you’re lucky I’m not some psycho or pedophile. She just scowled and went back in the store. Seriously!

Maybe after a break people won't recognise her so much anymore. I heard that there were times they had to reset the scenario because someone did a couple of seasons ago. I'm glad she's still on it though :)

The last lady should've been in my house when growing up to teach my shitty parents how to raise kids. My mom had 4 kids and my dad just worked,worked and worked and never had time to raise his kids because he was tired and supposedly never had the time. And my mom was worse that since she found herself alone raising 4 kids by herself most of the time when it got hard and heavy raising them alone,she chose to look away whenever they misbehaved.When they got physical with me since they're boys she ALWAYS justified their shit by saying "that's ok,if you're going to hit her you hit her here and there"...they grew into their adolescence doing the same and now they're hitters. One day I had enough and threatened them into calling the police.They got shit scared they were pale and shaking. One of them don't talk to me since and it happened in 2008. They made me endure more than 10 years of domestic violence hence my lifelong depression. What I mean is what she said at the end, "parenting never has a day off". It can be tiring,it's not easy,you can take a break but never stop passing wisdom or educating your kid because "it's too much", or "you're tired". Otherwise it'll happen the above.

Yeah I've tried to reach out to God,but it's so hard to at least formulate a prayer since my emotions are numb and I don't want to be reminded of my limitations but I'll see how it goes. So far I have my apartment and working on getting all the psychological therapy long needed to get my mind and emotions stable.

My parents did too. Five boys and me (girl). I am sure her hands were full! Plus one of those boys is my twin🌺 All of us were born in the 60’s. At a time where it was NORMAL for the father to not help with diapering, cleaning house, cooking, ect….. . He did play and love us. And he worked to keep a roof over our heads and food in our stomachs. 🌺

Mad respect for that mum of 6. Also mad respect for all parents trying so hard to raise their kids. I'm not a parent but my mum has 13 kids. N wat I've heard from my older siblings was that both mum and dad never had a day off when we were all young. It was difficult for her and dad. But they got through it. It was mostly difficult when she takes us shopping. I'm amazed how my parents handled 13 kids at a store. It was difficult for me to look after my brother's kids when we went out shopping. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm glad that these people don't get mad at the kids. Yes the kids are doing the destructive behavior, but it's because the mom isn't paying attention or teaching them that it's wrong. I would always get called a bad kid and get yelled at anytime I did something that I didn't even know was bad :/

And my dad,he was never there for me,he abused my mum but STILL,she took care of us and raised us to be well behaved and polite.

that last lady would have been me. i was only 4 years old already giving nasty look to kids that misbehaved and talked bad about them to my mom. my mom raised me to understand the consequence to my actions, like for example i wanted to go out into the big waves instead of building a sand castle. she told me no and wasn’t gonna back down, but since i knew that persisting was not good, i only asked twice. the second time i asked, she said yes. my mom planned on me getting salt water in my eyes, mouth and nose so then i don’t want to into the waves bc it wasn’t enjoyable. of course she held my hand so i wouldn’t be swept away or drown. even though that was a terrible experience, i thought it was the best thing ever. that doesn’t matter though, i knew that the reason my told me no was because it was either dangerous or she didn’t want me too, not because she didn’t feel like dealing with me. when you raise kids, please make sure teach them that no means no and why your saying no, don’t let them become like that

Don’t know how I just came across this, but my mother owns a toy store that I worked at for basically my entire childhood, and the amount of children that go unwatched is insane. The amount of damaged goods we get because parents couldn’t bother to watch their children is actually crazy. A couple times the parent actually pays for what their children broke, but that is the very small minority. Sad stuff really. No one I have seen has ever stood up against it
