For me, I always think about the little girl who survived in the bathroom where her teacher and all her classmates were murdered around her. They found her lying beneath the bodies of her classmates and when she was finally reunited with her mom, she told her 'Mommy, I'm okay, but all my friends are dead.' I hope she is surrounded by love and is able to joyfully celebrate her graduation and someday overcome all the trauma she went through.

My son was in the first grade at a different school when this happened. Every year I think of these kids and teachers and their friends graduating this year is bittersweet. So sad. We need gun control more than ever right now.

I will never forget how I was decorating our Christmas tree when the news came on. I remember just crying and being heartbroken for the children and their families.

I have thought of these kids as young kids yet too. So hard to believe they are graduating high school. My heart goes out to these young grads as it’s probably bittersweet for them. Hugs to all the families who lost their child and are not able to get the chance to see their little ones grow up and graduate high school.

These kids would be as old or older then me because I just graduated last Friday and I was six years old when that happened...Just finished watching a interview of the surviving students and it makes e sad knowing they should be there with them graduating,I can't imagine how the survivors and the parents of the children who lost there lives feel.

It must be bittersweet to be happy for those who will see their babies graduate while they hold their memories of their lost loved ones. It’s so sad nothing has changed ever since. The lack of regulation and safety for our children at school, is forming more and more new generations of parents who won’t have the justice they deserve.

Even all these years later, there are still people that look at how much worse it has gotten and think their right to own arms is of more valuable than the lives of children.

Here in NZ school kids have earthquake drills, but in the states they have shooter drills 😢😮

It must be so hard year after year for these parents wondering what their kids would be doing if they were still alive. Marking their 18th birthday and then their 21st birthday and then years later wondering what college they would have attended or if they would be married by now with kids. These kid's lives were taken from them by this scumbag that had nothing to live for. I remember how depressed I was after this happened realizing how sick people are. It's bad enough when these gunmen kill adults, but it takes a special kind of sickness putting bullets into 1st graders. There is a special place in hell for someone that would something like this. But little Catherine is living on through her mom. And even though she is not physically here, she is still doing what she would have been doing all along. R.I.P to all those that died on that horrible day 12 years ago.

5-7 yo first graders are gone & some 400 others survived. Seems all those others would've liked the same coverage over last few years. *Media denied many of honoring their fallen schoolmates, the same way Alex Jones did.

They never should have approved the open carry law at all. I feel that everybody in this country shouldn’t have a gun at all. Still nothing in this country is being done at all. I was in college when this happen. 😢
