Wide open , no traffic shifts are a cake walk. More difficult in bumper traffic in actually populated areas. I'd only buy a manual car if it was brand new because of people red lining it in every gear. Automatics will shift smooth every time and yiu can still manually shift as well.

Hey there Dominic. The civic is under the "knife" right now. The engine will stay fairly stock. Adding an upgraded clutch, fuel pump, injectors, new ECU (Hondata) and will be tuned on a dyno. Some minor suspension tweaks (rear sway-bar upgrade). The shop (slowmotion motorsports) said that a similar build they just did was putting out around 349hp at the wheels. Yes, you are right, the turbo's seem to be the way to go for the BIG numbers. I'm just looking to have a little fun and won't be racing this.

Chad Barrett That sounds dope. 349 is plenty to get out of its own way haha. That's more than my truck puts down at the flywheel. Much lighter too so it should be pretty quick. How much is this costing you if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, should be fun, for sure. The supercharger + intercooler (good for about 320hp at the wheels) is around $4500 list. But i'm adding quite a bit of other stuff, exhaust, gauges, dyno time, etc... With parts and labor, it's going to be around $11k. My wife is pissed, but hey, fathers day is a good excuse as any. I can't wait to pick it up. I'll probably put up a video or two. I won't be anything as insane as this 700hp monster - LOL, but should be a fun little sleeper that can do some interesting things on pump gas.
