I'm convinced the lady who said she wanted to order a " birthday cake" is lying. Nobody orders a 17 layer cake for a birthday, that's way too big. And with a rainbow, too? Either she actually wanted the cake for a gay wedding and was trying to trick Jack, or she really knew who he is and was just another mean person trying to harm his reputation. Take another look at the cake that she ended up buying instead. Does that look like a 17 layer cake? I don't think so. What did she do? Uninvite a bunch of people to the party?

I assume he was trying to distance himself from the modern meaning of the rainbow. I could be wrong. Regardless it's his right to practice his art as he wishes. The constitution doesn't guarantee you the right to force someone to bake you a custom cake. It doesn't guarantee you the right to have cake at all. It provides a framework of freedom that encourages expression and entrepreneurship. There is a massive attack on that framework taking place. If you remove his freedom of expression, he will stop providing cake altogether. How is that good for anyone? He doesn't want to make your cake, so you see to it that he can't make your neighbor's cake. That's called selfishness.

also, these people are pretty rude when you walk in their shop. ive only purchased one cake from them and it was horrible so as i returned it the next day. that couple should consider themselves lucky they didn't purchase this shops bland and tasteless cakes. they only thing that is good is the pastries and cookies etc. when i called the shop to get a refund he was reluctant at first until i pushed the issue. when i went to return it they gave nothing but dirty looks. never again will i go into this shop again. i also asked for a sample of fondant as i didn't know what it tasted like and they refused rudely. so i went down the street to the cake shop across from them and the Russian lady was very nice and customer-oriented and cordial offered me a sample of fondant. not only are they rude but they seriously need to reinvent their recipes when it comes to their cakes. im not the only one that noticed how nasty they are either.
