In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 11 we explained moment of inertia in rotational motion. We will see that in rotational motion kinetic energy of a rotating body does not directly depend upon its mass, but upon a quantity known as moment of inertia. The moment of inertia for a point mass m rotating about an axis making a circular motion with radius r is mr^2. The kinetic energy of a rotating object is half of the product of the moment of inertia and the square of the angular velocity. In simple words, the moment of inertia of a body is its inertia of rotation.

Sir what's the difference between Coriolis force (tendency of object to resist or maintain their motion in rotation) and moment of inertia(also resist their motion too) ...plz make me understand
